I got the chili and cheese tots and they were so soggy like the tots were made in the microwave. The chili was more like some kind of red sauce. The brisket on nachos tasted like chicken with liquid smoke on it.
It was ok ,the beans looked and taste like they were on the burner a lil too long;so flavor was saturated and mushy. German potato salad was interesting, the slaw was good, crunch, sweet and tangy. The brisket is where I felt like it was undercooked very chewy. The pulled pork were big chunks which was tasty. Y’all are on to something if you can work on the brisket. Flavor is there with the sauce as well
Ordered 2 Gyros. Pita was dry and broke in half on both. Meat was not fresh and very dry. Not even enough sauce to make it edible. Couple bites of each and they were in the trash
I am surprised I am not giving this place a 4 or 5. I have been here twice before and the food/service has been great. Today, s3rvice was great, but I didn't get exactly what I ordered. I received a medium shake when I ordered a large. As well as tots with my son's hot dog instead of the chips I asked for. I hope I didn't get charged for a large shake, since I didn't receive it.
Last night was our first time trying this place and wow I am blown away. Everything that we got tasted so delicious and the prices were so affordable I will definitely be coming back here. 100% my new favorite place in Longview!!!
I took my 2 little girls to this restaurant for the first time. Very very disgusted I doIsn't only find mold in my salad and dressing but mold in my child's food. How is this place still open?
Yes siree...BEST Homestlye BBQ in town. Folks are real friendly too! Considering economy these days portions and prices are fair. The food is so good it was worth $28 for 2 people easily.
The place is super cute and a neat place to stop as we were passing through on the way to Portland. It also was the BEST CHILI DOG I’ve ever eaten. The tots and piña colada shake were also delicious.
I’ve ordered from Dog & Cone a multitude of times and would generally give them 5 stars— BUT today was the absolute worst! To start with only half of my order was in the bag. And the other half - a Southern Dog was so very disappointing. The bun had been microwaved I think because it was hard on the outside making it inedible. So the dog and toppings got scrapped onto the top half of the container. The chili was super thin and had NO flavor at all, and the coleslaw was an attempt only. I was only able to get a few bites in before calling it quits. And what chips there were looked like someone crushed them before putting them in the container. Even the baked beans, which I normally love, were so sweet I couldn’t eat them either.Tonight was a total waste of money and time!! I can only hope this was an “OFF” day and not the new normal!
Tl;Dr - Good food, good prices. Put some in your face.Long version:My first impression is it's pretty dang good! The highlight for me is the gyro. It was fresh and zingy and well seasoned. The "Trainwreck", I realized, was essentially a DQ blizzard, one of their dessert items. But the one I got I left the flavors up to the cool peeps there. They filled it with Oreos, peanut butter cups, and espresso beans. It slapped. The side with the hotdog is their Chili Cheese Tots. It's a solid side, good flavor. The only thing is that I would've liked the tots just a bit crispier. It kinda mushes after a little bit.The Cowboy hotdog had a really good all-beef frank. All the flavors (BBQ sauce, sauteed onions, cheese, and bacon) were all good. But I don't think this falvor combo is for me. For context, I've tried this combo in other foods elsewhere and it didn't jive with me then. So, with that said I can't say more on the hotdog. I'll have to go back and try other hotdogs.

Their Chili hotdog isn't exceptional, but it is cheap and edible. Definitely a step up from the Sonic's chili dogs for only about a dollar more. What is not edible is their Brisket/Mac n Cheese Wrap. One bite and it tastes like burnt rubber. You know that smell when a car skids and your nose is assaulted by the smell of burnt tire rubber? It is that smell in flavor form.I've tried the brisket, mac n cheese, and the sauce separately, but it is hard to tell where it is coming from as that offensive taste has just kind of meshed together. Absolutely disgusting with a long lingering aftertaste.
I got the beef brisket sandwich, potato salad, and a soda. Everything was amazing and delicious. I would most definitely get food here again.
The most delicious menu!! Love their food.
My favorite place in town! The gyros are amazing. They started doing smoked meats and best smoked meats I’ve had in the area. The owner is the sweetest person ever ! Highly recommend. You will not be disappointed
The service was fast but the food was not good at all. We've only been there once. We like to give all the places we go at least 3 times to make that impression. So, that was strike 1.
