This is my favorite sushi place in the south sound area! They have a great selection of rolls: I recommend the salmon lover, blue fin Hawaiian, super bad boy, rainbow, and more. I also really enjoy their soft shell crab, miso, and gyoza. I’ve been here many times and they’re always fast and friendly, and the sushi is consistently very good. Highly recommend.

Good find in surburbia. The tonkatsu ramen was on point with its broth - rich and flavorful. The ramen was springy and firm. The seaweed salad was well balanced — not sweet. The sushi were fresh and well prepared. The sushi bento was more than enough to feed a hungry teen. The yakotaki was a bit overdressed but the texture was right on! The space itself was a bit loud, but that’s expected for a place that gets packed at 1PM on a Friday.Parking: Open lotKid-friendliness: The bentos are well worth it!

Hidden sushi gem & I want to gate-keep this sushi restaurant but they deserve to eat acknowledgment. We had the freshest & delicious dinner experience. Went on a double date and all the sushi platters were presented nicely and the raw fish was fresh. We also ordered hand rolls, tempura & udon (as it was a rainy & cold night) and the flavors were burying in our mouths. Service was attentive and friendly staffs. Ambience was lovely with fun crowds and there was seating available at the bar. We've also enjoyed beer, cocktails & beverages. If you're in this side of the town, it's a must and you may find us dining there. Hope you get to visit sumo sushi. Bon appetite!

This is hands down the best sushi restaurant in the Maple Valley area. Prices are very reasonable for the quality, especially if you go for lunch. We have enjoyed all of the Sumo Special rolls, with the caterpillar, sounders, and saju rolls being family favorites. The chicken and salmon teriyaki are also delicious! Staff is always super friendly and service is great. We take friends and family from out of town here each time we get visitors and everyone is always impressed. Highly recommend.

Food is delish, but if you call in an order, and get told its going to be 35-40 minutes, that means that the chef is going to start to actually make your food 55 minutes after your call. Have been here for lunch, and it's been great when dining in. Time to pursue other options.
When I went in I was immediately greeted even though it seemed fairly busy, the workers were all very nice and kind and the food was delicious and well priced! Would definitely recommend if you are wanting sushi in Maple Valley!

I didn’t stay to eat inside but when I entered the atmosphere was nice there wasn’t a lot of people inside even though it is a Friday. The girl with blonde hair didn’t look when I was tipping which is alright and probably a rule they have, her voice is nice. I ordered chicken katsu and gyoza the chicken looked like it was gray or purple but it was probably because when I ate the food inside my back was over the food so it could be the darkness and not much light on my food. Imma still gobble down.
