I've been to this place several times over the years when I've worked up at the dam. This became our crew's default dinner destination. Nothing else around could compare. They always have a fantastic and eclectic beer variety and the food on the menu is always fantastic. I heard it was because the owner has a seaplane and flies it in himself on the river. Being a Seattle beer guy, the fact they had Manny's on tap blew my mind. I always get the steak when I visit. It's a REAL steak, thick and juicy, not some garbage piece of rubber I'm TOLD is a steak. I'll go there anytime I happen by. The wife and I have been talking about retiring to this area so it could become my new stomping grounds! 😂

Our family tried this place out tonight. Absolutely delicious! Friendly service and delicious food! We will definitely be back! I had the Philly, my husband had the fish tacos, my son had the cheeseburger and my other son the cheese pizza

Mostly locals in for a beer in a tiny mountain town so we were surprised with the fish tacos that bested any we have had anywhere. Thick sweet fish, homemade salsa, perfect. Prices were not on the menu but turned out to be about $16 per order. There were no vegetarian options which could be a deal breaker for strict vegetarians.

My dreamy husband and I found this little gem of a restaurant on our way back from taking the Gardner caves tour. Carol is super friendly, and took a genuine interest in why we had kayaks in our truck if we hadn't been kayaking (a story for another day). Anyhoo We had cheeseburgers and fries. The beef patties were as thick as my finger, well seasoned and cooked through. It came with all the deluxe fixings and a heaping side of fries (hand cut for my dreamy husband because he says there's nothing better). He says it's THE BEST burger he's had in ages and, considering he's a chef, that's really saying something. It's a little out of the way, but we plan on making the Western Star Bar & Grill a regular stop when we're in northeast Washington.
