Very good Ramen spot, I’ve been here about 4-5 times and have picked up from them. The frontman is always friendly and happy to take my order. Food is very delicious and always comes out very fast after I order. Nice clean and quiet restaurant, bathrooms are very well kept. I love coming here for lunch and chilling out. (Bowl of Ramen pictured was after I’ve ate some)

Ordered the creamy chicken ramen with gf noodles. Noodles were as expected but I was highly disappointed that I received very little chicken (5 small pieces) and no egg with my order. For the price, what I got was not worth it.

Ramen broth was fine, my kid loved the gyoza. Giving one star because of the service. My 6yo found a dead bug near the bottom of his ramen bowl and was really grossed out. When we showed it to the server, they were unapologetic and just said it was probably because we were seated near the door. That is not OK. At the least say sorry. Would not come back and would not recommend due to the terrible service

I live around here and I frequently visit this place. It's usually the same server and he has always been extremely friendly and very attentive. The food is delicious. The broth is very flavorful. I only wish it has a slightly less sodium or a low-sodium broth option but that is how ramen usually is. The appetizers are also delicious. Try the Karaage.

Overall the food’s presentation is amazing! The food comes out relatively quickly from putting in the order as well which was great.
The server was an older white male, and he gave me a little push back when I was putting in my order… ultimately he did take the minor alteration notes I asked for and the kitchen obliged. The food was pretty good, though I hoped for a richer flavor, and the portion size was decent for what you pay for.
I am a petite person though… while I had my fill, apparently I left too much food in my bowl, and the server made a snide comment as they brought me the check since I didn’t take a container.
Part of customer service is the manner in which you serve your customers. If you value that point, I wouldn’t sit down to eat if that unfriendly older male is taking orders, and I literally live in the apartments shared by the shopping center of the restaurant… I’ve been here several times and get treated in a similar manner each time it’s him.
I’d rather drive up the street to Sushi Spot and wait a little longer for my food.

Pros:
Nice server, very attentive and kind.
Clean environment (although the seat cushions were a little icky)
Cons:
Both soups we ordered were bland. Broths were watery and flavorless but looked oily. Chashu was decent and thickly sliced but also not very well seasoned. Noodles were generic, not very chewy or textured. Seasoned egg was disappointing. We had kimchi ramen and tonkotsu shio and both were suffering the same flaws.
Also, the soup was expensive. Almost $20 ea bowl.
We didn't finish our food, and felt bad about it. We didn't want to make a fuss so we went on our way. Just wanted to share our feedback.

Fantastic little restaurant! I got a ramen, my wife got one of the stir fry dishes, and we shared an order of gyoza. All of it was great!
Definitely going to be a regular place for us!

First time here and I love it! Had the Garlic Miso Ramen and it was delicious. I’ll keep coming back as long as it stays this good.
Owner/server, whoever he is, is very friendly. Appreciate the great service.

Great little spot for some delicious Japanese creations.
Although not a fan of ramen, the food here is great and the service is quick and friendly.
Definitely a good choice.

When I was a kid, I would hurry home from school and make myself a bowl of instant ramen. It was salty and filling and I enjoyed every bite. I grew out of that kind of food, and set ramen aside, thinking I would never eat it again. Then a friend convinced me to try a ramen restaurant. Like any food, the use of good ingredients and care in the preparation made a huge difference. I was back to eating ramen and enjoying it.
The problem is that not all ramen restaurants are great. So, when you find a good one, you have a treasure. That was the case the first time I went to Akana. The broth was flavorful, the noodles had just the right amount of bite, the charashi was delicious and the rest of the ingredients were equally well prepared.
Then I moved out of Kirkland and had to find new places. I managed to find a few, but I kept a warm spot in my heart for Akana. The other day, my son called and suggested that we get ramen for dinner. I was excited the whole day, thinking about the treat coming up. It took a long time, but eventually it was time to head over. I wanted to race there, but I remembered the photo speed traps in Lake Forest Park and kept my speed under the limit.
My son drove us to Woodinville and into the huge parking lot that serves a number of businesses, including Akana. We parked and went in. The hostess/waitress invited us to take whatever table we liked. We picked a booth, remembering that some of the standalone tables rock a bit - not good when you are eating soup.
We each ordered our favorite bowls - mine full of umami and his with a touch of spice. We also got sides of gyoza and karaage. The ramen arrived quickly and the sides right after. It was as good as I remembered. We slurped up the noodles with chopsticks and spooned the delicious broth into our mouths. The sides were great too.
My son paid the bill and from the look on his face, it was high. I might not be going here often, but I will drop in whenever I can.

Let’s be honest food is all that matters. The ribeye fried rice was a disappointment because it’s doused in heavy msg and the rice was freshly made not day old rice which made the dish very sticky. Then the broths in the ramen were waaaayy too bland like there’s no richness to it. And I’m not even trying to compare to Tokyo and Osaka quality. The ramen itself is just ok enough bounce but mine were clustered together and not broken apart. The Ichiran self made ramen has better taste than this place. Some restaurants are peppered with made up reviews cause I am 100% sure this is one of them.

The place is clean and the staff is friendly. The food came out quickly. I had the kimchi ramen it was a very good bowl of ramen. The seasoned egg was great, the pork was very good, and the kimchi was great without being too hot. It was the best bowl of ramen I have had in quite a while. I've never been there twice. Solid place, I would recommend it to anyone.
