went at 2:30 today at lunch and had fish and crab in my bowl, during paying the restaurant, i was charged for dinner price, when i asked, they said i had fish and crab which was dinner menu. i think the lady wanted me to pay dinner price and made up fake rules! buyer beware of deceptive advertising , when i asked for receipt she said that the machine was not working which was very fishy

Excellent service and the food is the best in town. If you eat at the Red Robin across the street from this place you should rethink your life because this is the best restaurant around. And it’s not even close.

A bunch of coworkers have been going here once a week for about the last year, it's always been amazing and a highlight of our week. Today, it was a different story. They have had a staff change in the last few months and it is really starting to show. We showed up today before the lunch rush and there was hardly any food out, half the containers were empty. When we informed staff they said "ok" and then went on to help other people sit, talk about how empty everything was and talk to each other. They didn't refill anything until after our food was on the grill. The new cook is also awful. He puts way too much on the grill, I leave with surprises in my food every time, thank goodness I don't have an allergy. We love this place and are sad that we feel we need to go somewhere else

We reserved a table and went. They have a great selection. As a vegetarian, I was pleased to notice the chef using a separate ladle to cook vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. Additionally, they kept the rice separately. The coconut curry was good, but the soup was unavailable, so we couldn't taste it. The staff were friendly and didn't rush us, even reminding us about the closing time

We love this place! We tried so many Mongolian grills and this one by far the best one! We usually get our food to go so can't really rate the service. We put a lot into that bowl so our togo portion is good! They always fry it to perfection!

I love this place for the quality of food you get, the fast and friendly service, and the cleanliness of the entire restaurant. I can't recommend it enough. There are sauces to cook you dish in as well as topping sauces to put on at the end. The peanut sauce is DELICIOUS! Staff is very friendly and attentive to customers. Also this place is CHEAP for all you can eat. Chefs are experienced and fast! Just visited again and we're leaving happy and full!

Miss the rice tortillas and plum sauce of Changs and the sauce recipes, but Hot Iron was pretty close. We definitely will be back. The tables and seats were showing wear and tear. They could use repair.

I traveled about 2 hours from olympia/steamboat island to lynnwood, primarily for 2 reasons. A pizza place I remembered was great here, and an all you can eat mongolian grill nearby (not many places that have that sadly). I was really dissapointed. I get a bowl with noodles/beef/mushrooms/peppers and put the sauces on it, but the sauces looked all watered down and I was worried it wouldn't have much flavor. I was very right, the sauce added nothing to the flavor and it was bland, I tried putting some teriyaki sauce and chili sauce they had seperate on it, but that didn't really work. I forced myself to eat that plate so I could try another bowl, just with WAY less in it, so there would be more sauce to well everything ratio. Maybe that would help. It didn't and I didn't even eat the second bowl, I just paid and left. I later went to best of Changdoe a chinese place nearby and the beef chowmein was WAY better, and less than half the price. I would not recomend hot iron to anyone looking for mongolian bbq, or at least if you go, bring your own sauce. That might have helped but the noodles and beef was a bit burnt as well, and not the best quality, I honestly think you are better off just making it at home yourself (which is sadly my ownly option in Olympia). I gave it two stars because the service was nice and I did not get sick from the food (and I hate saying negative things about places). Still I feel I should mention something since there are so few mongolian bbq places and others may travel a long distance to try one...in this case it really is not worth the travel.
