McMenamins Mill Creek

Kind of disappointed. Last year we had a less than favorable visit at the Mill Creek location. Service was slow. Two tables that came in after us were served about 20 minutes before us. When we finally were served our burgers they were cold and dry. We did an online review and we were sent a $40 gift card with a very nice apology only to find out that 4 months later the card is inactive!

Food is great but service is great. Ordered 4 combo took forever and only got 3. By the time 4th one was done everyone else had finished eating and had to take last meal to go 🤦‍♂️ I want my tip back!!!!

Leaving this for management after 3 visits over a course of around 6 months. If you come here, please treat the wait staff kindly. You can tell management is not doing their job as leaders or really disrespectful to staff. We live right next to this location and mcmenamins was our first date so we tend to go sometimes as a nostalgic treat. We loved the building itself and they have a gorgeous outdoor seating. However, the last three visits have been bad and this time around they just comped our food and gave us a gift card. Our server looked miserable but was patient and kind. The previous two were very rude and one left us alone for about an hour and 20 with no drinks while we waited for food. I had to approach someone at the bar to ask for a water. The entrees were poorly made the second visit, and this time around was the worst. Both our burgers were burnt, buns burnt, no cheese or sauce on mine, and our tots had been cooked so long they were completely dried out and nearly burnt. The server told us she'd talk to the manager who didn't come out at all, just comped the meal and gave us a gift card. My dad was GM for a long time and never would have let a customer go like that without hearing them out. The server told us she was putting in her two weeks when we apologized for the way other customers were treating her due to the poor food service. She recommended the Bothell location to us, I'd take her advice until management decides whether they want to have a successful business.

Server was very nice but accidentally selected side salad for my burger, so brought me the fries on the side but still charged me the $2 extra for the salad I didn’t order. And charged $3 for a soup I didn’t order or receive. Didn’t give me discounts for either of my happy hour appetizers. And when the bill came he didn’t even tell me the price before he took my credit card. The food was ok, not great. Will likely never return.

Good stop on my bike ride

Used to est here, but everything has changed for the worse. No more grass fed beef. no more hand cut fries, Everything tastes like out of a can or bag. All of the portions are down and all of the prices are up. This place exudes inflation at its worst. I recommend boycott!

I tried to call in a pickup order, was asked to hold but never was put on hold I just sat there on the phone listening to one of the female employees complain to another employee and clanking dishes around. Very awkward experience. She never came back on the phone to take my order. The service is incredibly slow every time I go in there. The food is good but the service is probably some of the worst I’ve had. I don’t recommend this location. The Bothell one is far superior

I love going to any McMenamins, but especially the one right down the street from me. Friendly, attentive staff and delicious food. Highly recommend!

McMenamins Mill Creek is a regular stop for us and it's usually okay, not great, but reliably okay. It's consistently understaffed. On our latest visit, it was not okay. They got the order wrong, and the food was terrible. The Mai Thai peanut sauce was like thick paste that had no flavor, and the mess on top was mush. Worst of all, their famously good tater tots were almost solid deep fried whatever. We couldn't get a fork into any of them and biting into them revealed barely a trace of potato. The tables are worn out with water ring stains and peeling varnish. We had to wear our coats while eating because it was so cold and drafty. It's a bummer because Mill Creek has so few good-food, cozy, neighborhood restaurants. Edmonds is a drive, but if we're paying $50+ for pub food we'll make the extra effort to get our money's worth.

Food is what you come to expect at Mill Creek, excellent. Service, what you have come to expect from McMenamins, excellent. Atmosphere check, excellent.

Management must be failing their staff. My husband and I frequent this location cuz it's local, and the staff is always different. Always short staffed as well. I really hope management figures out how to hire a full staff and keep their staff. We waited over an hour for food, and the waiter serving the whole restaurant couldn't service our table. Not his fault!!! Waiter was lovely, but there needs to be a change here, management.
