Heard the original owner cooks the food here. Tried it, not sure if the original teriyaki chicken was better than other Toshi's, but I was hungry and it tasted really good. The chicken was not dry and the sauce had a hint of sweetness, not overtly sweet like most places. Would go again if I happen to be in the area.
The original toshi's location. Food quality much better than the toshi's near my house, and bigger portion sizes too! Take out only was a little sad, but it's a really small little place. Great food, no overhead.
It's a simple but very tasty style of teriyaki. I would recommend it to anyone. We tried all of them and all were perfectly marinated and cooked. The beef was a surprise treat, and the katsu was a home style preparation. Each was tender with subtly deep flavors and not too sweet. Glad to try the original.
