Bar tender was awesome! I ordered a Noschino Ginger cocktail and only took a few sips. It tasted nothing like ginger. Went to pay our tab and the bar tender asked about our drinks. I said mine didn’t taste like ginger. He said that’s because there is no ginger in it. He comped my drink. Very misleading.

Hands down the Best Old Fashioned I have ever had! Both Micheal and Riley are absolutely Amazing at their craft. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting. We could have hung out all night. So happy to have such an awesome Whiskey Bar in Monroe.

Wonderful atmosphere and incredibly knowledgeable and friendly bar manager. Michael is overqualified. Strike up a conversation about anything with him. Far too few places left in this world where you can find service so friendly and so skilled. All part of the charm that makes the Barrel so welcoming.

The bartender (and manager) here has created a lovely atmosphere for many to come and relax with friends, co-workers, or just wander in and pick up conversation with complete strangers. Such a great place to hangout with amazing craft cocktails and a relaxing environment. The constant customer base is an awesome group of people you can get to know if you hang around long enough. Highly recommend giving this place a try.

WOW talk about 1 speed ... SLOW. Watching the bartender looked like it was his first day. 2 drinks took almost 7 minutes with water we never got. Was just best to leave and find another. They didn't seem to mind losing customers. AND NO it was not a Friday night packed house lol seats available no one standing, sun up maybe 630 pm

Such a great craft cocktail bar! It's whiskey only but the bartenders are sure to find something you'll like from the extensive cocktail menu! It can take about 7 minutes for a cocktail on a night when the bar is completely packed but it's totally worth the wait!

I have wanted to go to this place since we were in Monroe last year. Got the chance to go last weekend and was not disappointed. Drinks were great, bartenders recommendations were spot-on and it has the greatest atmosphere of any bar I’ve been to. If you have the chance, do not miss this absolute killer experience!!!
