We held a Welcome Dinner, for our son’s wedding, at Lewis and Main. What an incredible event! The food was fabulous, the service was amazing and our guests continue to rave about the entire event. Charlotte, the event coordinator, was an absolute joy to work with. She and Josh were so accommodating, helped us develop the perfect menu and executed it beautifully, for our 67 guests. Everything was beyond our expectations. I highly recommend Lewis and Main!

The service was excellent, the food was horrible. Thank goodness we got happy hour prices which was still too much. The romaine lettuce was wilted, they should have never sent it out of the kitchen. The didn’t charge us for it. One of the tacos was burnt and the burger had what looked like mold on the bun. They were out of chicken and all of their taps were down.
The waiter was great. We felt bad for him.

What time is happy hour
I had easily one of the best, if not THE best, pork chop in my life at this place. The Caesar salad with optional anchovies was awesome too.

Update 08/08/2025- the menu is dialed right now. Happy hour is a great deal and the halibut tacos are AMAZING. Get on it!
Our first try here was just after they opened, so they were still getting their sea legs. All was forgiven because we saw the potential. We came back last night, and they have really ramped up their menu, the staff (still short on this, like everyone right now) was friendly and were well versed on what they had to offer. Appetizers - the mussels are a MUST - No idea how they make that broth, but it's sweet like coconut milk and yet it is not that. The brussel sprouts were perfectly roasted, with a beautiful flavor. We were dipping everything we could get our hands on in that mussel broth! Wedge salad was amazing as well. Main course - I had the short ribs, great flavor, very cowboy BBQ cookout style with white beans and sauce. The seafood pasta blew my wife's mind, and my friend's pork chops were perfect and delicious. The bar is still small, and is still being perfected, hence the missing star. But we talked to the staff, managers and owners, and they have a vision, and I believe they will make it a reality. Pricey, only compared to all the other restaurants in Monroe, which do not attempt to achieve a standard that Lewis and Main sets. Well done, we'll be back soon.

I’ll start with the good.
The calamari appetizer was to die for - expensive but DELICIOUS! The cocktail I had was also expensive but delicious.
We ordered the $35 clam orzo and the $54 New York steak medium rare. The New York comes with no sides. $54 is the price for the steak on its own. They don’t have a menu of sides and we weren’t asked if we wanted any sides with it.
The “New York” that we got was literally just a chunk of fat with maybe 5 bites of meat on it. It was literally cold and still blue, so rare. It had barely been put onto the grill. The flavor was bland, like a cheap steak you’d get at buzz in. Definitely not a $50+ steak and was not cooked appropriately.
The clam orzo looked promising. Huge portion and smelled delicious, but I took one bite and it was so salty I couldn’t eat it. Literally tasted like the salt container fell in it.
They did end up refunding us for the steak and the orzo. We paid for our drinks, the calamari and left hungry. Still ended up paying $50 (plus a $10 tip for our nice waitress) for an appetizer, two bottled IPA’s and one rum cocktail.
Also worth mentioning that the tables are very close together. It felt like we were eating with the strangers next to us.
So disappointing after waiting years for a toddler free night to visit this restaurant.. I’m not sure that we will be back.

Wow—what a surprise gem! We’ve driven past Lewis and Main for years and finally decided to stop in. So glad we did. We sat at the bar and were lucky to have Jason as our bartender—his cocktails were hands-down some of the best I’ve ever had. Thoughtful, balanced, and totally unique flavor combos.
The food was just as impressive. Every dish was beautifully presented, full of flavor, and cooked to perfection. The pork chop, in particular, was the most tender I’ve ever had—and I’ve traveled a lot! The sauce and sides took it to the next level.
Prices were surprisingly reasonable for the high-end quality and generous portions. The vibe was warm, welcoming, and upbeat—the whole team clearly loves what they do.
We’ll absolutely be back. Pro tip: sit at the bar, chat with Jason, and prepare to be wowed by the drinks, the food, and the experience.

Lewis and Main is by far the nicest restaurant in Monroe, and the prices will remind you of that. But with excellent food, friendly servers and a beautiful atmosphere, it's well worth it. Their garlic parm fries are heavenly and their roasted chicken is phenomenal. Their great wine list and open kitchen are an added bonus. My only ever complaint is that on one visit a couple of our dishes were over salted. Beyond that, this place will make you forget you're in a small town. Killer cuisine and a lovely vibe are hard to beat. Keep it up, guys!

Delicious food! I tried the halibut and it was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. The staff were warm and welcoming, making the whole experience feel special. Highly recommend this place!
Everything was perfect! Good service, amazing food. Will come back for sure!
Ordered a beer and a sirloin steak. Steaks are $50 each. So I was expecting a good steak cooked right. My GF ordered a medium rare steak like me. Hers was way bigger and cooked medium rare. Mine was medium well and well done. Very disappointed. The side dish was some kind of pea slaw. Tasted good. The server was wearing a t shirt and jeans. Should I expect better attire for $50 a plate? He came back and asked if everything was ok. If he looked at my steak he would have seen the obvious over cooked steak. Actually the cook knew it was that over cooked and it made it through 2 people. Not good. The spent plates sat on the table for way too long. I'm not a fan of that. Just walking by you could easily see my plate was done. The atmosphere was ok. The chair and wood bench was uncomfortable after a day hike. It comes down to I've had better steak consistently at Outback for much less with better service. I've had better steak at a tavern. I don't know if this matter because I don't think it should.... we got there an hour before they closed. I probably won't go back but I hope they know they have issues and can fix them.
It's a sports bar. No white tablecloths here.
