I am not sure who was cooking this morning, but they need to learn to actually cook the hashbrowns not just heat them on the grill. And when you get an omelet that comes with cheese it should actually have more than maybe a tablespoons worth of cheese scattered on top.
Went into Papa Bear’s on hyway. 12 on June 20th around 10 a.m.. had two eggs, hash browns, wheat toast and a hamburger patty. The hamburger patty was normal size. It was 1/8 inch thick and over cooked. The waitress was taking care of 16 people at different tables. She could you some help. She did a great job.
06/21/25 - We were camping at Taidnapam nearby campground. It poured all night and all morning and we were all cold and soaked. Our group of 10 walked in and seated ourselves. Immediately after we walked in, the entire restaurant filled with patrons and there was not an empty table. Only one waitress, Christina, and one cook on hand and they were outstanding! They handled it like champs. They waited on and served the entire restaurant, only the two of them. They had smiles and were very friendly. Our food was excellent and we were so happy with the service and grateful for hot coffee and a warm breakfast. Another patron gave his table to us to accommodate our large group and we covered his bill...thank you to that customer whoever he was.
If I could give a pay raise to the waitress and cook who worked tirelessly that morning to take care of us, I certainly would!
A big round of applause and thank you to the friendly staff at Papa Bear's Restaurant in Morton and the great food!
Solid food- great salad and happy they had a veggie burger!
Food was pretty good. Service was not very good at all.
Great food, splendid service!!!
Enjoyed it
Great food! The clam chowder was excellent! And $3 Bloody Mary's on Sunday! Heck yeah! Friendly server and loved the classic rock playing!
My dad eats there every Thursday night and he enjoys it. He's never had a bad word to say of it, so I'm saying it must be good too.
We would come more often if more things were available on the menu. We requested multiple things, but all were out. I hope one day they include some of Osos menu to this one. Osos was our go to weekly, sometimes more. Best birria tacos around. And Josh is amazing, and the cook at osos (I forget her name). We heard they might be coming here, so we will start coming here more often when they are working. The red head cook, the last time we came, food was cold and hardly any gravy on the turkey meal I got, and it was not busy. Only us and 3 other people, no reason for cold food.

Service was very very slow. Never got a refill on our waters. Burger was dry and tasteless. 85 dollars for a family of 4, Jack in the box would have been better.

No vegetarian options. Served Kraft mac n cheese. Stopped service breakfast before the time they advertised. Terrible food and racist vibes.
Edit in response to owner’s reply to my review: We were TOLD breakfast was not an option, we were not given the option for breakfast or lunch. It also wouldn’t make sense that breakfast/lunch would be an all or nothing option? Our group was not thrilled to eat burgers for breakfast, but we didn’t want to make a fuss because we understood it was a small staff/kitchen.
In regards to the racist vibes - it’s hard to feel welcome when the entire old, white customer base gawks at my diverse group of friends while we walk in. We didn’t experience overt discrimination from the staff, we understood they were in a tough position and were trying to be accommodating given supply/stock issues. However it is undeniable that this town struggles with racism when Trump flags are flying across the street and another storefront with a “Rural Americans Against Racism” sign has its windows smashed in.
They're out of half of their menu items, serve craft Mac and cheese, the food is dry, the cook is fearful of using condiments and/or seasonings, the poor wait staff have to answer to the customer for the war crimes being committed by the kitchen, and at the end of the meal my pre 9-11 era chair broke from exhaustion. A warning to all who may think about eating here, don't.

When we arrived, there was no server to greet us. There was no cook in the kitchen or bartender behind the bar either. Just a handful of customers staring at us balefully.
We waited for several minutes before the server emerged from the back. She told us to sit wherever we wanted.
We attempted to order a number of things but they were out of many items on the menu. Finally we were able to pick meals that they did have. I ordered a patty melt with a side of tots, but was brought a Reuben sandwich instead. I went ahead and ate it, although I discovered it was burned to a black crisp on the bottom side.
The tots were good though.
