Love this place. Friendly people and a great happy hour ($6.50 for a 25 oz micro draft). But I keep coming back for the Borrego - a lamb shank served with a bowl of the spicy tomato sauce it's cooked in. Man oh man.

During happy hour, we got the blended peach margarita and the mango margarita, both half-priced! Loved the peach margarita the most! Street tacos were delicious! Would add just a little more sauce and lime if possible. Everyone was super welcoming and the environment was lovely!

We ordered food to the hotel room. The food was overpriced (I'm not talking about the delivery fees here) and the portions were smaller than standard for the Mexican cuisine restaurants per my observation in many other places. The food quality was about ok but I wouldn't order it again unless I had no other choice.Also, what frustrated me is the fact that the restaurant staff sent the food to the hotel room with no utensils and napkins very late in the evening. This is an awful service.

So my wife and I have traveled the country enjoying date nights at probably over 50 different Mexican restaurants. Much to our delight, Mazatlan was amazing. The food was fantastic, the service was top notch, and the restaurant environment is charming. We came on a Friday night, and it was wonderful. I highly recommend as a place to enjoy a great meal.

We got takeout, I got the Super Nachos Blancos with Carne Asada, no onions, and a Horchata and he got 2 Carne Asada quesadillas (since I didn't know how big they were gonna be/or not be, and wanted to make sure he had enough!)We both enjoyed all of our leftovers and it was very tasty and filling.I forgot that they toss the sour cream and guacamole on top (I would've asked for them on the side) so it still has some onion flavour from that, so if you have a sensitivity keep that in mind :)Thankfully, I just don't like the flavour much.I get the nachos everytime I get food from here and there's always leftovers and it's always tasty. My partner found the quesadillas surprisingly filling as well and loved his leftovers the next day ^_^
