This isn't a review of the location and the staff, as they were great. Quick service and friendly. I haven't eaten at an Ivar's in some time, and honestly, it isn't the same. Maybe Ivar's set the standard too high early on, and it's a tough level to maintain.

For those of you that are new here in the area, and wondering where to grab a quick bite by yourself, with company, or the whole family...there are a few that are specific to the region..Ivar's sits very near the top.of that list, if not the very top. There may be other places that one thing or another better. But you can ask most any native or tenured local about where to go for the fish and chips, and likely Ivar's will be their response. May I also suggest looking at the man himself, Ivar Harrington. He's a legend of the local community and in ads for his various locations throughout the area. You haven't said seafood unless you've said it with a mouthful of fish, or clam chowder. And that's just the start of it.

If you’re absolutely starving and need a quick bite then stop here, otherwise I recommend just about any other place for fish and chips. The service was fast and friendly, but you get 3 sad, rubbery strips of cod on a bed of fries and it’s pretty disappointing overall. I certainly wasn’t expecting a mind-blowing dining experience, but I thought the quality would be a bit better based on the local hype.

The food was good but there is no free parking here and sodas are $3. The price alone makes this experience not worth it. Go elsewhere. You might as well eat at an indoor fish restaurant with nicer atmosphere for these prices.

Food was good, but the fact that they have no public restrooms for the fish stand patrons is pretty awful. No outside tables to sit at either, but plenty of empty patio seating for the restaurant customers. On the evening we went, they got our order wrong twice and weren't sure how to rectify it (rang us up for clams instead of scallops, missed the cornbread). I can only hope things will improve when the finish the outdoor construction and this will be more like the other Ivar's that are known for good service.Parking: There's a lot across the street for Ivar's customer parking.

Always delicious! Fish and chips is a classic. The fish pieces are a tad small, I recommend the 4 piece if you’re hungry. If you want a kick go for the Cajun breading instead of classic. There are picnic tables around the corner in the new parquette. Or plenty of tables at lighthouse park if you want to take your food for a little walk and enjoy the view for dinner!

This place has the freshest, most delicious fish and chips you will ever have! So hot and crispy, and the fish just melts in your mouth. The Cajun flavour is a must try. Beautiful area, too! Went back again, and it's still great.

Our server was on point, he took care all our request and needs. He did explain the choices in the menu very well! Customer service is excellent!

Beautiful location. New parking not open yet so very difficult to find parking. Portions were very small. Fish sold as a "fillet" but was really a fish stick. Tasted good. Clam chowder good but too much potatoes. Not enough clam. Only three tables outside unless you want full service. Do better IVARS .

Food was good, service was very slow. The bartender was our server, and it really degraded our experience. Inattentive would be the best word. I think as soon as he realized we weren't buying drinks, we became an after thought. If he is so busy he can't attend to us properly, someone else should have been assigned our table.

Simple fish and chips! Perfect for a chilly day. Lots of options to try and great service at the takeout window.

The outdoor stand does not offer the same menu as the sit-down restaurant but it's the best place for sea food "junk food" like fish and chips and scallops with french fries. And of course there's Ivar's clam chowder. For what it is, it deserves 5 stars.

This is attached to Ivars Mukilteo Landing. A great, efficient snack bar with fried clams, cod, oysters and more with great chowders, shrimp cocktails and much more. Take your lunch and eat right at the new pocket park tables nearby, or walk a few steps to Lighthouse Park Beach, park on a driftwood log or nearby picnic table and watch ferries crossing between Clinton on Whidbey Island and Mukilteo. Observe the many pleasure and fishing craft or even the occasional barge or battleship headed to Everett 6 miles east. Let your children play in shallow water, while families enjoy crackling fires in the available fire pits. Watch, beautiful kites soar above. Ivar's friendly employees will efficiently separate those who wish fried clams, fish, salmon and more from those who want to eat shrimp cocktail, chowders or ice cream to keep the orders moving. Rain or shine Ivars Fish Bar will keep you fed, relaxed and ready to enjoy the day.

Ivars seafood restaurant is a seafood relic in the pacfic northwest community. Any local Seafood lover knows about Ivars. I'd recommend the salmon and chips or clam'n chips. The clam chowder is good I'd recommend getting a breadbowl. "*Photo was taken at different location"

Ordered Paella. We got our food in 5-10 minutes, which was already concerning. It looked obviously microwaved/reheated. The fish was chewy and rubbery. The muscles and clams smelled absolutely horrid, and when I was under the allusion that this place served good seafood, I actually ate one. Far and away the worst thing I’ve ever had in my mouth. They were all clearly not fresh.I’d be okay with the quality of this meal (excluding the muscles and clams) if I’d gotten it from an elementary school cafeteria. The location and scenery are amazing, though, and it really is disappointing about the food. Hopefully it’s just their Paella.
