Im really glad this is close to me. I did not think it was as great as the other reviewer said so I’ll have to give it another try.

Overall: Great!
The food was really good, there was nothing that we got that I didn't enjoy. The staff was kind, and the service was incredibly quick!

I am always satisfied with fresh food and the service of kind employees. In particular, the chirashi bowl here is always the best.

I have eaten Sushi and Sashimi in Japan on many occasions. This is a great dining experience and the quality is really similar. So very tasty. Recommend you get the set meals.

Easily the best quality of sushi outside Seattle/Bellevue.
As a sushi purist the quality of the fish, temperatures of fish/rice, and selection are paramount. Even their non sushi offerings are worth giving a shot.
Locally owned and operated by a Japanese family my experience here has been reminiscent of actually visiting Japan.
Places like Sakuma deserve to thrive.

Have always had great sushi here but last week I had my usual sushi and it was very disappointing. The avocado was hard, the seaweed wrap was unchewable and the rice was so sticky and dry. It just wasn’t fresh or the usual standard.
Wheelchair accessibility: Very easy

Staff are lovely. But i don't like paying full price for half rolls. With the green dragon roll, i got 4 pieces... j's kitchen is much better value, and the food is great. This place was disappointing

This place offered such authentic food! I visited Seattle on a business trip, and I can guarantee this was my favorite spot during my visit. I've tried tons of Japanese food in my life, and I think this will be my top choice in Seattle.
The Chirashi bowl was so fresh, and the high-quality fish practically melted in my mouth. I also tried the tempura, which was crispy and light. The service was friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this place for both casual dining and special occasions. ?????
