Wonderful atmosphere, the food was good and there’s a museum upstairs.
Wonderful place in this small town. Awesome milkshakes too! Great small cafe for a sandwich or ice cream. There is also an amazing local museum attached to this. You can spend hours in there! Worth a stop in.
I had an absolutely delicious bowl of split pea and ham soup along with pulla bread. I would have been proud to serve this at my home. Staff were very friendly, as were the clientele who greeted us warmly. Stick around to visit the Appelo Archives Center created by Carlton Appelo, longest-serving port commissioner in Washington history. If you love to learn local history in a community center, this is the place.
The dessert was so good! The coffee was hot and strong. Lots of interesting glassware and handmade items for the home. Plenty of books and reading materials about the history of the area. A great way to spend a little time.
My daughter and I came in and had corn chowder while playing cards and just had a fabulous and yummy experience... We had also purchased a handmade scarf that was made by a local woman and we just love it! We will definitely be back :) We give 5 stars
While doing some research for my book I had the pleasure of meeting Anita, Abigail, and Beth at the cafe. They were all dry nice and encouraging and I can't wait until the weather turns in the fall so I can spend a weekend upstairs with all of that information. Great place, great people.
