I was skeptical coming to Newport to eat.... but found this place to be great! I loved the Verde sauce, loved the chips, salsa, and had a margarita that was very refreshing. The bathrooms were nice and clean and smelled good. The atmosphere was festive. The servers were great, I loved my meal and came back for the same thing two days later. I was impressed as an outsider! Nice job Mi Pueblo II
Food is good, we’ve been several times. I think the chips they bring out for chips & salsa are always cooked to much, and this last time we were not asked if we wanted anything other than water to drink, so to be honest they missed out on a sale of 2 drinks. However, the food is always consistent, quick and really good. We’ll be back.
We had tamale and chile rellenos. My tamale was chicken I don't know if they're all chicken but it was kind of icky and I didn't feel like the tamale was cooked all the way through. That's usually my favorite go-to-dish so there may have been just been a little problem with it. Usually that's the one thing we just love. You can't go wrong with her chili rellenos.
