Moved back to the island and this place wasn’t so good 8 years ago. Surprised to see it was still open with high ratings and decided to give it another shot. Brisket had no flavor, pork was dry no flavor (possibly cooked yesterday), sausage tasted like generic Safeway brand. Baked beans tastes like it came from a can and is just heated. Maybe it depends on what time of the week you go in. But we wont be going back.
Had late lunch, Order 3 meat dinner .potatoes salad ,good . beans are well beans , the brisket was dry , mediocre at best, the hot link was spicy, crisp ,store bought, and I can't rate the ribs as they never came , 26$ never again.

I just had my staff Christmas party last night. I catered from BBQ Joint. Chicken, ribs, brisket, pulled pork, beans, Mac & cheese and sweet tea. —all fresh, flavorful and abundant! Easy to give five stars!!!

I grew up in the town that hosts the international BBQ fest every year so I'm admittedly spoiled with some of the world's best BBQ as my baseline. I had high hopes for this place from the photos and decided to give it a chance but it was just ok. I'll cut them some slack since we came towards the end of the day which is not the best time to get BBQ. Brisket and pulled pork were dry and bland without the BBQ sauce on the side. Both were very chewy. Ribs were tender but unseasoned. How you gonna be Memphis style BBQ and not even put on a dry rub? Come on. Banana pudding was great though so we ended on a good note. The prices were reasonable but not for the quality we received. This place is a pass for me 🤷♀️
Owner and staff are SO sweet, and the brisket is the best I’ve ever had outside of Texas proper! Banana pudding is absolutely amazing also!

BBQ brisket was delicious! Florvorful and could cut with a fork just the way it should be. Potato salad, Mac salad, coleslaw and beans were all delicious and you could tell it was homemade with love. Friendly staff and great food will definitely have us going back!
