I feel like I went to a different food truck than the bulk of the reviews would suggest. We ordered a couple of different items for lunch, and none of it was good. The oxtail was tough, which shouldn't be the case with oxtail. The jerk chicken was passable but very dry. The coconut rice had little flavor, and the plantains were on the crunchier side. Maybe he was just having an off day, I don't know.

I was pretty disappointed with the oxtail, unfortunately. The sauce was extremely salty, but definitely the worst part was that the oxtail was extremely underbraised. That meant trying to use a plastic knife to cut meat off the bone. Not the way oxtail should be enjoyed! The oxtail cost $25 and the credit card reader was “down all week”. I hope this was just an off-day.

Came in on a Friday afternoon (not advertised as being open on Fridays) and the food was bomb! Among all of us we got the jerk shrimp, jerk chicken, chicken curry, plantains, cabbage, and mac n cheese - all were good. Only critique is that the jollof wasn’t great, not worth the extra $2.50 charge. Otherwise 5 stars!

Small truck but it caught my attention while I was driving by. Decided to stop and it was tasty! I got the oxtail and would go back again. Full of flavor!!! The man working was nice and patient with explaining the menu / answering questions.

The location was a little inconspicuous but you have to trust the process, the food and service was 10/10. You have to like a little heat but the jerk chicken and shrimp will knock your socks off and the sides will calm your mind, body and soul. The plantain and coconut rice - yummmmm!!!
Best food in Oak Harbor that I’ve found so far! Nice and spicy and they give a lot of food with the combos. Can’t wait to come back and try the rest of the menu!

The jerk ribs are as good as they can get. Mine are very meaty and falling off the bone. With the coconut rice, it's a lot of food. Can definitely make two meals out of it. The spice level is perfect for me. You'll love this if you like Thai and Indian food, but maybe not if you think Tabasco is hot sauce.

Came in around 6pm, first three sides I asked for were already gone. He did give me a small discount for the sides I ended up with. The "special" rice was great. The beans were stale and a solid. Jerk goat meal was overly spicy it made me feel sick. After two bites, I lost my appetite. Probably not going to return.

My first and only time- food was too spicy to taste the flavor. I had a stomach ache most of the evening and I didn’t realize until later that although I bought a rice bowl for 16.00, i was still charged additional for rice.

Amazing food! Super reasonable prices with big portions, great service, and a super fun vibe. A must try if you’re anywhere near the area. More than worth going a little out of the way for. The jerk ribs were exceptional, and the vegetarian platters were amazing for our non meat eaters. My family and I are absolutely in love!
