I came in to pick up my order around 7/12/25 @ 4:55 PM and once again encountered the same issue I’ve experienced in the past. There were two employees standing by the line, openly gossiping, and not paying attention to the front. No one acknowledged me, and I stood there for about 4-5 minutes waiting before I had to say “hello” to get someone’s attention.
Instead of being greeted professionally, I was met with an attitude, as if I was interrupting their personal conversation. Eventually, a woman assisted me, but even then, her demeanor made it feel like I was inconveniencing her for asking for the food I had already paid for.
This isn’t the first time I’ve had a poor customer service experience here. It’s frustrating, especially considering this is a pickup order simple awareness and courtesy go a long way. And yet, the business still has the nerve to prompt for a tip during the ordering process.
The food itself is decent, but the service is consistently disappointing. I would strongly suggest retraining the team on basic customer service particularly whoever was working the front around 4:55 PM and remind them that customers are not a disruption, they are the reason the business exists.
Do better. Respect your customers’ time and money.

Customer service is a lost trait in this world. Dale, at China City, Oak Harbor is the bomb. I can’t say enough about the service she offers! Very attentive, very professional and personable! There were 4 of us, she took our order without writing anything down and it came out perfect. We even ordered extra items and she didn’t miss a thing. We didn’t have to wait or ask a second time. Our food came out hot and delicious. She was fun and funny. Many of times I have walked away from a bad experience but not here! Dale is awesome! She is a true gem! Thank you for the best restaurant services I’ve ever had!

I was staying with my family at the Best Western Plus which shares a parking lot with China City. The inside is very nicely decorated. We were greeted by the host and hostess. We ordered our food to go and the staff was very kind to my family especially my son which we appreciate.
We got the Shanghai Dinner for 2 and the staff allowed us to sub one one of the dishes for another dish due to tree nut allergy for no cost which we appreciate. The Shanghai Dinner was a phenomenal deal and allowed us to have two meals out of it. If we are in the area, we are definitely returning!

Ordered to go. Got to the mere afterward their last seating of the night. Hotel says best food on the island. It’s ok. Nothing special. Egg rolls were like any other place. Mongolian beef was tender.
This place is outstanding! We stumbled on it when we stayed in the hotel that shares the parking lot. We live an hour and 10 min away and it's worth the drive. Definitely the best chinese food we've had. The atmosphere is great, staff is plesant, and food is delicious. The wife and son both commented that the bathrooms are even above expectation. Our last visit was the requested birthday dinner of our 12yo son. Overall I wish it was closer, but we will continue to make the over hour drive to enjoy.

Want to start with saying our server was not the problem at all. Very attentive and kind to us. We went for dinner and we were just not pleased that everything came down to $100. What we got was not worth that much. We brought our own drinks too. We ordered lumpias which were okay, barely no flavor. It was us 3 (myself, hubby,son) and his friend. We ordered the family platter because we thought it would be reasonable because we all wanted different type of rice. The family platter barely had enough for 2 people. It was sooo small. They even said it only had 3 shrimps in it.
We should’ve just stuck with our rice and that’s it. The prices are ridiculously high. No combinations. It’s just wasn’t what we wanted or expected.
This is in no way trying to bash the restaurant, just an honest review. Maybe I went on a bad day or I went with high expectations. I won’t be going again.

We did not have high hopes for this place, as we have gone literally years trying to find good Chinese food that isn't overly greasy, but this place was a great surprise! First, the decor and atmosphere is very upscale and beautiful. The staff were very pleasant and attentive, and the food was great! I had chicken lettuce wraps (crispy, fresh, light and delicious), and some of the best egg flower soup I've ever had. My husband got almond chicken, which he says is hard to get right, but he loved it. Light and crispy. Definitely five stars!
