The beignets were absolutely amazing—crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and dusted just right. The chicken tenders? Huge and packed with flavor! These aren’t your average tenders either. As for the mac & cheese, you can tell it’s made with a roux....creamy, rich, and comforting. Every bite feels like a little taste of home. Hale’s Kitchen really knows how to bring the comfort with a twist!

Very Rude. Ordered a kids cheeseburger and a kids grilled cheese. The guy made two cheeseburgers. When we asked if we could get the grilled cheese he refused to remake and said their kids grilled cheese comes with meat. I guess he just didn’t want to remake it? Had to go to Sonic for a grilled cheese which is just cheese and bread!

Funny what time will do with a place. Farely new joint. Portions are weak, so far from southern on that part of things. Coleslaw has a slight hot and bitterness to it, it sucks. Fries are boring and uninspiring. Chicken strips are good as is the mac n cheese.

Co-worker and I were the first to show up for the day for lunch. Every table was dirty, the floors too. Why should I care for a place and a people that don't care. Zero recommendation. Take you money were it is earned, not taken for granted.

Food prep has been consistent, as well as temps. Just portions and food choice is lacking.

Proper Southern homestyle in Oak Harbor. I had a 3 piece chicken tenders with fried pickles and mac n cheese as my sides. The chicken was well seasoned and had more than a hint of Cajun flavor to it. I got the ‘Crack sauce’ and it lived up to the name. The meal also came with a slice of Texas toast and a fountain drink. Despite my hunger I was unable to finish the fried pickles, they really load you up!

Place was dead and we placed our order. Was told our order would be about 10 minutes.
3 other orders came in and were served in the next 40 minutes.
When the food finally arrived after i complained i was told it was that seafood takes longer and that it was only the two cooks in the kitchen.
First, FOH staff should be aware of that and communicate it to the customer, especially if they are going to give a 10 minute timeline.
Second, improve your process. It’s delicious, but as a veteran of the food service industry - ya’ll can do so much better.

I absolutely Love this restaurant they deserve many blessings I called all the way from Illinois and they helped me out by taking a pie to a family member that I couldn't get it delivered to out of their own pocket that is a blessing they deserve lots of Love I am so grateful for them Thank You so much the owner and his wife are amazing thank you 🙏😇✝️🕊️💞
