Food was fresh, hot, and tasty. The chicken kebab was so good that I had to order another one. It’s the best kebab I’ve ever had. Meals were really good too. The owner is a nice person. The food is healthy and nutritious. This is a must visit restaurant.

Unni is very nice, gives good conversation, is a good cook, the food had nice flavor and well made but disappointing portion size for price and it took almost an hour to get ready, even though we were told on the phone we don't need to call in our order (as it'd be quick). Told upon entering it'd be 15 minutes before he'd start ours, but a whole 45 minutes went by past that before I left.
The pricing is almost double what it should be, and what we see elsewhere. $15 for a little snack-sized pot of curry that doesn't come with any rice. $5-6 per flatbread as shown.
We ended up spending $43 without tip, without drink, for 2 average-appetite people and we are both hungry afterwards. Oh and we had to make our own rice at home...to be full we'd have to spend $30 - $35 per person.
Also the gluten free flatbread wasn't marked so we didn't know which my wife could eat.
Also warning! "Mild" on the spice is actually more like spicy /medium. Overall quite disappointed and wishing we would have not bothered. But, alas, now we know.

First of all, the food was delicious, and just as important, it was legitimately healthy from the first bite to the last. We ordered some vegetarian dishes and watched as Chef Unni prepped them in front of us while taking the time to explain each item. He was incredibly friendly and genuine with us. Sometimes, you meet someone who you can tell is just a good person through and through. His two small kids were there (he's a single dad), and it felt good to see the grace he showed in settling their disputes. There is a lot of love in this small space, and it seems to work its way into the food. Manu is offering something you won't find in other restaurants, and it is more than a unique, delicious, and healthy meal. We will be back, and we will be telling others about it. Chef Unni is also a US Navy veteran. You will feel good about supporting him, his small family, and his fledgling restaurant.

Highly recommend! The food is super tasty and the owner is a great ambassador for Kerala (a southern state in India) food. I grew up eating Kerala food and he serves it home style just like I’m used to- it almost felt like my uncle was making me dinner! Unlike all the mainstream Indian restaurants in the area, his food is flavoured by spices and not huge quantities of cream, butter and salt. The flavours are nuanced and you can get your dishes mild or spicy depending on taste. There are both meat and veg options so something for everyone. It’s mostly takeout (only a few stools) with reasonable portions and good prices. Lots of explanatory pictures of Kerala food for ambiance and to initiate you into the cuisine.

Real authentic South Indian food. He has magic in his recipes maybe. He was a wonderful guy to talk to and we loved his food. The best thing to try if you are into coffee then try his coffee. It is the real South Indian filter coffee which you will not find easily at other South Indian restaurants.

This was such a lovely experience. Unni was so kind as he shared about some of the processes behind his food while preparing my meal. Not only was the food beyond delicious, but I was so pleasantly surprised by the informative and generous conversation. Pay Unni's Kitchen a visit, you won't regret it!

I recently heard about this place and it did not disappoint. We tried the beef, chicken and pork curry meals, beef & pork skewers and let me tell you...the food was delicious! Definitely going to become a frequent stop for us.
Really great authentic food, maybe the best I've had in the area all the way up to Bellingham. The owner was very friendly and willing to chat with us about our upcoming trip to Kerala this summer. As soon as we were finished eating we wished we had brought home more, so we will be back soon.

Hi all, yesterday went to Oak Harbor for the movies and did my usual, look for new vegan food. Found Unni's Kitchen. He's from Southern India and has 60% vegan food. Would like to have more of he had the customers. His ingredients are amazing, makes all of his items from scratch including the fermented and sauces. Unni loves talking nutrition and health. Please check him out!
Southern Indian food at its best. We went for the vegan options and we were not disappointed. It's more of a take out place. It has a few seats at a counter.

Unni was extremely kind and walked us through the menu and some culinary history of Kerala and India. The Sambar and roast chicken was top notch. We will definitely be back!
