Visiting and found our favorite restaurant closed and the building empty. Great loss to the ocean shores restaurant scene.
Alec's has always been one of our favorites at Ocean Shores. Sadly the restaurant is closed and there is a For Lease sign on the front windows. Thank you to Alec's for many, many wonderful meals. Hoping someone takes the spot and resurrects a great location!
We randomly decided to visit the coast on Friday and ended at this restaurant. I had the Friday special Prime rib. It was perfect - juicy inside and crispy at the edge. The fat is not greasy at all. My hubby had the seafood pasta which was also great. He usually doesn't give positive comments on pastas but he said this one was fresh and tasty.
Definitely 5 out of 5 stars.
Best pan fried oysters I ever had, far best locally, we’re going back again tonight for more great food..wife’s pasta fettuccine was also fantastic
I love this restaurant. When I discovered it I had to go back the same night to re-order what I had eaten that morning. Their mashed potatoes are legitimately the best mashed potatoes I’ve ever had anywhere. I will go back just for those. But when I went back a week later, the wait staff recognized me, I was impressed with her memory as I’m sure she serves a lot of customers.
A nice little local restaurant! Service was fairly good, a little slow maybe but we did order gluten free meals so hopefully they were taking extra time to accommodate. The food was good but nothing really to write home about. It was just nice to have a place way out here that served gluten free food!! The prices were pretty high as well so don't expect a bargain, but nice to have a night off cooking for the family.
I always am satisfied when I eat here. There is a great mix of options, always cooked properly and not over seasoned.
Pretty good food and great service! Our hostess was really engaging and attentive!Portions smaller than expected. Went off a review from Google. My steak was tiny!!Gave me a birthday dessert! Will visit when we come back to Ocean Shores again!
Awesome food in HUGE portions for the price. Fast and friendly employees who do their job very well. Homemade potato chips! Favorite place in town to get my burger and fries.

Went here on a Sunday night. Terrible experience. Both our prime rib was cold and chewy. My mom ordered a salad because the entrées do not come with them anymore for an upcharge of 5 dollars. Not fresh, and teeny portion! What a disappointment. Limited menus and upcharging isn't going to help this restaurant. Hopefully they will hire some cooks with experience soon. Will not be back.
Excellent lunch/dinner! The food was amazing! The staff was friendly and the waitress frequently checked in to see if I needed anything.
Haven't been to dinner in many months. Went to dinner here for my bday. Good food, friendly service. Very clean and a great job with social distancing.
This was our first time to Alec’s and it did not disappoint. We decided to do take out because of covid. All staff that we encountered were friendly, helpful and efficient. We ordered clam chowder and it was wonderful. This is a thick creamy chowder which is my favorite so it hit the spot. We also had the 3 piece cod and the 6 prawns. All very good and fried nicely (not greasy). They supplied all the utensils, condiments and crackers for an enjoyable takeout experience.
The food was amazing as was the service. O had the halibut which was full of flavor and not greasy at all. My best friend had the prime rib dip which was so good she said we have to come back. Calamari was delicious as well. Will definitely be returning.
