Rusty Anchor Grill and Pub

The once amazing Mariah’s became The Rusty Anchor, and that was a decent substitute. No more bread while you wait, but hey- the food was still good. The service was friendly. Often a wait time, but understandable given short staffing situations. HOWEVER, they came under new management recently. My family and I were excited to have some of our Rusty Anchor favorites - coconut shrimp, Cajun chicken fettuccine, Chicken Parmesan - nope. New management, new menu. We ordered the meat loaf, 2 orders of the scallops dish (the stuffed salmon was no longer available), and the seafood pasta. It was all completely bland. No flavors. The scallops cost $20 and there were THREE in the dinner and the rest was a tasteless boiled pasta and peas that were probably frozen. No sauce or anything. That’s it. The seafood fettuccine had more fish, but again it was bland and the pasta was lasagna noodles… what happened to fettuccine? The meat loaf was ok, as was the chowder. Underwhelming from what this restaurant used to be. I am here a few more days and may give the breakfast menu a try, but dinner as of now is a big disappointment. And no bread to go with anything for the price you pay. Almost $100 for 4 dinners (and a few sides of chowder). If you knew the old menu, you will be disappointed. Friendly service, but the food now is just subpar.

The food and service was exceptional for only being reopened a few weeks. We both left full with leftovers. I’ll definitely be back to try other choices. And the price was reasonable. 👍

Love this place, one of my favorite restaurants in Ocean Shores. Great service, reasonable prices. Scratches the comfort food itch every time.

Enjoyed Happy Hour in the bar, menu options were great and priced very reasonably. We enjoyed the steak bites, fish tacos and spinach artichoke dip. All were delicious with lots of flavors to enjoy. Tasha made some great drinks to accompany our treats and the atmosphere was great for talking and visiting with friends. We will return to try their dinner and breakfast menus.

JUST GO!! We were there on their first open week. Overall, excellent! GREAT menu, open until later hours, service was great! A few kinks to work out on veg dishes but we had excellent meal. Meats cooked perfectly. Loved the buttery chardonnay and Cab selection. A+ guys, GOOD JOB!!!

We had never been here before. We found out that this place is under new management and has just reopened last Friday (6.13.25). They changed the dining room a bit and the kitchen. I think the menu too... Food was great. I had a scramble and tea. Also had a bloody Mary that was quite tasty. The best part was the service. The staff was very nice, friendly and genuinely seemed glad if the restaurant refresh.

Should have listened to the locals via local Facebook groups saying not to eat here. Yes I’m aware they have only been open a week or so but this place was pure nasty. Also get rid of Raylynn waitress she will ruin the business. She was very accusatory and rude made us very uncomfortable after we said the food I had gotten was nasty and had zero flavor. She also kept coming back asking me why I didn’t like it after simply saying it wa across and flavorless and when we had been paying at the front she also brought the kitchen staff out to further question me. This was not the whole oh how can we fix it kinda deal it was more of them offended I did not like their food. My husband ordered the stuffed salon that claims it had crab and shrimp. There was none and he also didn’t like it but did not want to cause a scene after how she acted when I didn’t like mine. I had gotten the stuffed chicken the says it has pasta as a side which was nasty I’ve had better Kraft Mac n cheese. There was only spinach that came from a can and no cheese like the menu states the spinach was very clearly from a can as it was soggy and parts of my chicken we also kinda pink. The whole place was just not a good environment either with rude waitresses and a dirty table we had been sat at. Also check the bathroom before you order food as their bathroom looked like it hadn’t been cleaned since the re opened which tells a lot about the kitchen. I will not come
Back to this place even with the 20% off card they gave us. Even my replacement chicken strips where not good and the fries where cold. I visit ocean shores every few months and will avoid this place and will let my friends and family know as well not to eat here. Please do not contact me regarding this review. I’m honestly shocked money dicks went out of business as they would have been a better choice for a special occasion.

Food was delicious, seafood fettucini awesome. We ordered prime rib also. I inquired as to size, 8 or 10 oz. She stated you get what you get. I should have then asked for the price but I didn't. My fault. Well its turns out, 45 bucks a plate. Unfortunate on me. Lesson learned. Pictured below is the plate. Not at all worth the price.

Stopped by here while coming through town and was pleasantly surprised. Nice restaurant with a cool little pub. Anthony was our bartender/server, and he was awesome. My friend got the steak and a bloody Mary and really enjoyed them. I got some pretty tasty fish and chips and a couple of beers. The food was good, the drinks were good and the price was fantastic. Anthony was great with any questions we had and took care of us. When I'm up here, this will definitely be someplace I'll be hanging out at.

Had a really good crab Louie salad. My favorite thing was the employees, they were super welcoming and very very nice. They are what made the experience at the Rusty Anchor worth going to! Left with a full belly and a smile, thank you ❤️

The food was incredible, we got different versions of the fettuccine and everyone loved it. The crab cake was incredible as well and the server was so nice

Me and my daughters just went and had dinner here. The food was absolutely wonderful! I would also like to add that our waitress, her name was Ashley and she was fantastic!!!!
