Ocean Beach Roasters is our favorite go to as a local. The service is top notch and the food is so tasty. We’ve even had the chef bring out samples straight from the kitchen when sitting at the counter.
They have two vegan options. We got both of them, the falafel hash and the avocado toast. Both meals were flavorful and filling, but a tad expensive. They also offer non dairy milks for their coffees/lattes but we didnt have any so I can't review them. The atmosphere is cute, there is plenty of parking, and the staff was friendly. We went with friends and it was a nice environment to sit and chat for awhile. Overall if you are vegan looking for breakfast while in Ocean shores it's a decent option.
My family and I have been coming here for YEARS. We came in one day to assume our usual table upstairs after ordering $100+ worth of food. When I told my kids to head upstairs, THEY (not the adults with them) were told, “Oh no, don’t go upstairs,” by a cook from the kitchen. This caught all of us off guard. We felt at home here. When my husband said, “Is there any reason,” the cook said, “Oh, because Bekah says you lock the bathroom doors every time and always leave a mess.” Mind you, I am adamant to always leave our tables in a manner that is easily cleared by servers. I was a server myself for 7+ years and won’t be that parent that leaves their table in a mess. Come to find out that our neurodivergent son did in fact leave a door locked once. Were we confronted about this? No. But he told us immediately and we didn’t let our kids use the bathroom there again without supervision. This was years ago. That being said, the upstairs door doesn’t lock properly and has stayed locked many times (fixed by us when we are aware it happened). We have always taken a special interest in the lives, and well being of the staff here. I personally cared for Bekah. To know that the conversation, care and connection wasn’t reciprocated was devastating not only to me but also to our kids who also felt at home here. It was a hard lesson to teach. We have referred many friends and family members here. The lack of care and communication during our last visit was sad and deeply unsettling. Do not connect with your guests personally if you don’t intent to keep that connection deep, understanding, and intentional with family needs - making sure everyone is aware of what is going on. Because this is a small town, you have the privilege of being “that place” people trust and go to. I wish things had gone differently.
Very disappointed 71.00+ &tip.

Seriously, favorite place in town. Delicious food (biscuits and gravy, avocado toast, etc), espresso done whatever way you prefer, and a gorgeous bay alcove to soak up the sun from while you enjoy it all.
Vegetarian options: The avocado toast has an optional egg add-on, but it's otherwise vegan, and so fresh!

Ordered an avocado toast under the breakfast section where it states it comes with a side of potatoes or fruit. I was then told it wasn’t included. I then ordered a side of bacon. When I received my food, I got one toast and it was burnt on the bottom so they didn’t toast the other side to try and cover it up. My two pieces of bacon were burnt black and I paid $22 for all of this. ONE burnt sided toast and TWO burnt bacon.

We went there 2 times for lunch. Very good coffee. I loved their white chocolate caramel coffee hot and iced. My daughter liked the witch energy drink. First day we split the croissant turkey sandwich and switched the bread for gluten-free. Very good. Forgot to take a picture. The 2nd day we had the chicken spinach cranberry wrap, Very yummy. Unfortunately her bacon burger with fried egg wasn't very good. The egg was more over easy then fried. Very messy. But they kindly returned it for her. The place is very clean and nicely decorated. Staff is friendly. You sit yourself. Nice place to sit and relax.
Dietary restrictions: They do have gluten-free bread
