Definitely wish I had read the reviews before going. The older lady working seemed to think my children were going to ransack the place. Incredibly rude. I don’t know if she hates messes or children or both, but she was incredibly off-putting and I wish we had just left. My daughter went to open an unlocked cupboard underneath the toppings, and as I turned to correct her, this woman removed my daughter’s hands herself. Absolutely wild to touch a child you don’t know. A simple vocal correction, or letting me parent my own child, or maybe removing the stick from her rear-end.. anything but that. My daughter is a reasonable little four year old she visibly deflated after. THEN the froyo wasn’t good. No tables inside and people smoking at the bar outside. Will not be back and will tell everyone I can to avoid.

It wasn’t busy at all but as soon as my kids and I walked in, the owner gave off a weird vibe. Had I not interjected twice, she would have put her hands on my two youngest. We weren’t greeted, instead she made sure we knew that it was all self serve and that the kids couldn’t touch anything. I acknowledged, but then she began to hover over us. My son was touching the top of the downward facing cups, pressing them down. She almost touched him and said he was going to break the springs, but I quickly moved him away from her. At that point I put the cups back and said we were going to leave and it wasn’t nice to be rude to customers. She replied that it was her shop and that she can do what she wants.

Was excited to find out there was a froyo place down the road from our biannual vacation place, very presently surprised to see the variety of options in dairy and dairy free froyo, as well as toppings, and fresh fruit! A woman I believe to be the owner was very helpful directing us for our first time in and very pleasant to speak to, we’ll be adding this place to our to-do list every time we’re in town!

I had a great experience. The options of not just toppings but ice cream were abundant. Multiple dairy free options and the lady was super sweet to us. We showed up pretty late and she was very helpful. Plus there's Dole whip. Who can go wrong? Will be returning

I’ve been to Surely Sweet every time I visit Ocean Shores, and I genuinely enjoy coming here. I’ve had nothing but good experiences. The frozen yogurt is always a refreshing treat, and the shop has a cozy, local charm that keeps me coming back.
I did take a moment to chat with the owner during one of my visits, and she shared some of the challenges she faces as a small business owner. For example, people sometimes throw trash from other businesses into her bins, which makes things harder, especially since she’s usually the only one working. She has to juggle everything on her own, from taking out the trash to ringing up customers, and that’s no small feat.
She’s not a part of some big chain, she’s an older woman running her own shop, so when customers make messes, take more than their share, or waste her time, it really does affect her directly. I think it's important we remember that and support places like this with kindness and respect.
So if you’re ever in Ocean Shores and craving something sweet, I definitely recommend stopping by Surely Sweet for a frozen treat and supporting a hardworking local business.

The lady is rude. And why are there no chairs in this place? Worst of all, they automatically add a tip to the bill without you knowing! And she has a tip jar out which I also put money in!
