I loved the decor - a collection of Americana that creates a comfortable atmosphere. Both food and service were friendly and efficient. It was a little noisy where we were sitting, but that didn't detract from the experience.

Disappointed Again

Readers please be aware the restaurant at this time was very slow only 4 to 5 tables in the restaurant and more then enough staff on floor to handle the flow.

We’ve given The Breadline in Omak several chances over the past year, hoping things would improve, but each visit seems to get more disappointing than the last so I decided to write a review in hopes the owners take steps to improve the location as I feel the staff need retraining and the kitchen needs to be reevaluated.

We ordered the fettuccine with chicken, which came with dry, flavorless, obviously pre-cooked chicken that was frozen. The sauce didn’t taste fresh (probably canned) and lacked depth. For the price, the dish felt underwhelming and not worth it.

We also ordered the “Long Island Clam Chowder,” which was more of a clam bisque than a chowder it lacked the thickness and richness chowder usually gets from a proper flour roux if it was made fresh. That said, it was still fairly tasty. Unfortunately, it was also forgotten and didn’t arrive until almost after our entrees, only showing up once we reminded our server.

The worst part of the experience, however, was the service. We were seated fairly quickly, but then waited over 15 minutes just to see our server, who took our drink orders and disappeared for another 15+ minutes. Our drinks didn’t arrive until the food did, and when we asked for a second round, those didn’t show up until we were nearly done eating.

After finishing, we sat with empty plates for 25 minutes and no contact from staff. We wanted dessert but decided to leave instead due to the poor service. Our original server apparently “clicked off,” and no one else stepped in. Meanwhile, one of the staff was more interested in chatting with a friend about her pregnancy than checking on tables.

Sadly, this visit has confirmed our decision not to return. The Breadline has potential, but the consistently declining service and food quality have made it not worth the time or money and would encourage the owners and managers to step in and help retrain, and take control of the products they sre selling to the community.

As a local here in omak I hate to say these things but changes need to be made if we are to return to do business and I bet im not the only one who thinks that way.

Thank you

New owners just took over recently, and decided to stop by as it was a favorite spot of mine for many years. The food was mediocre it was cold and flavorless, and the music was awful some sort of country music inside a jazz themed restaurant the only thing they couldn’t mess up was a steak but even then it wasn’t that good they nearly tripled the prices and the chicken we ordered was cold and dryer than a nuns skirt. Next time we will just go elsewhere!

Ordered a Philly sandwich, it had one piece of meat sliced like deli meat very thin. When I mentioned it to waitress she said they are usually more meat and did not offer any refund. The new owners must be trying to pay off their loan as prices have increased drastically. Will not return. Ti bad The Breadline was the place to eat when Paula owned it

What a great date night, dining experience! The bread bar is unique and had multiple different types to try while waiting for our main course. The whole meal was phenomenal. Homemade clam chowder, the prime rib was fork tender and perfectly marinated/cooked, the burger was pretty big and juicy! Will definitely be back!
