Ordered two sandwiches. Grilled chicken & grilled pork bahn mi. It was decent, the meats were just a little too salty.
The only other thing I would add— they prepare the food in front of you and I watched the server prep all the ingredients without gloves :(

I love La Ca Bar on 6th Ave. This location on this day was terrible.
We walk in, and are confused about seating and ordering bc no one greeted us with direction. Ordering was awkward and felt like she didn’t know the menu herself.
Then, we were the only ones seated and it took almost 40 minutes to get our food. The guy making the food reminded me of the sloths from Zootopia. Not to mention about 10 minutes for a milk tea and cider. It felt like time stood still in there. The food did not come all at once. 2 sides of rice were cold by the time they got to us. The bahn sandwich had moldy bread AND a hair all while sitting on the counter for 5 minutes getting cold. My pho was tasty yet the chicken must have come from a toy kitchen bc I kept chewing it but nothing was happening.
Visually, it’s appealing, yet when I noticed the kitchen was merely a microwave and two toaster ovens I felt slightly cheated for the price.
One good thing is the cold, moldy, hairy food comes in Togo containers so it’s easy to toss or take home and let it sit in your fridge for a week.
Overall, a nice place to sit and have some milk tea and drinks.

Initially, I was suspicious of this restaurant due to everything being served in disposable containers, but it was actually good! I got the pho sandwich, pork noodles, and vegetarian egg rolls. Really enjoyed the pho broth that came with the sandwich and the crispy, flavorful taste of the pork noodles.
The spring rolls were really cold, like they just came out of the fridge, which made it uncomfortable for my teeth. It also took very long to be served, along with the entrees. I thought it would be a quick appetizer served first.
If you come here, you must also try the salted coffee! Take the lid off so you can sip the foam and coffee at the same time.

The place was so good when it first opened. Not so much anymore.
It is better to dine in, although the servers are nice enough they act very uninterested in serving you though.
This time we ordered to go.
Both of the broths leaked so badly that I have to take a steam cleaner to my car because it soaked through the bag and soaked the bottom sandwich as well.
Then the celantro used on the top of the sandwich was mostly stems, very long hard to chew stems. I wouldn’t mind the stems mixed with the Celantro if the stems were cut up shorter and there was leaves actually mixed in more equally. The brisket was very very dry too.
All in all I wasn’t impressed and very disappointed in this meal.

I love all three of this restaurants locations! Parkland, 38th Street, & 6th Ave (Tacoma locations). Their food is always good and the service is friendly. Each location has a unique ambiance.

This is the second time I came here, and I was even more disappointed than the first time. The service was good, and the people working were very kind and welcoming. The food, however, was so dreadful and off-putting that I couldn't finish it all. My partner and I had 2 orders of the spring rolls, the beef pho, and 2 orders of the Vietnamese coffee with sugar. Firstly, the spring rolls were inconsistent in their size. One order was around 20% thinner than the other. The vegetables inside were fresh, but the shrimp were NOT deveined, and the noodles were dry and gritty. The peanut sauce that comes with it is pretty good, though. The beef pho had a great broth, but the noodles inside were so soft and overcooked that they broke with a fork or chopsticks. Additionally, the beef itself looked pretty horrifying and made the entire eating experience of the pho just not ideal. DO NOT order the Vietnamese coffee. My partner's order of it tasted different than mine despite being the same beverage. It was honestly kind of reminiscent of dirt. Also, the ice made up for 80% of the cup, so you aren't getting your money's worth for the drink. I paid 56 dollars, including the tip, for 3 food items and 2 drinks, which isn't too bad for the area, but I expected better quality food, especially for the price.

This is the same owner as La Ca Bar on 6th Ave and La Ca 38th on 38th Street.
The food is the same quality as La Ca Bar. I’m totally hooked on Grilled Pork Vermicelli. But also the bon mi is v good. My wife likes the wings.

This is our second time, coming to La Cá and our experience was lacking. From lack of customer service to some documentary on the t.v showing monkeys having uncensored intercourse, and this was going on for a long while. We watched our pho broth be microwaved, and after about 10 minutes of this, we were told that they ran out of broth and they need to reheat it. They continued to microwave it. But it was still about lukewarm and the meat couldn't fully cook. Overall a very disappointing experience we tried to finish our food but my partner couldn't stomach it and ended up leaving it behind.
The drinks were okay.

The chicken rice bowl was good, but the tofu vermicelli bowl was too salty. Also, they were out of half of their menu, staff spent more time chatting than preparing food, and the two of us got our food at drastically different times.
