Visited the place in non season. The place was good, I tried lemonade, fish & chips and salmon burger. The food was tasty ?. Service was excellent. I need to visit again in summer.

Sophal is amazing and seriously very impressive. We went to this marina restaurant and fast service, GREAT FOOD. It has such a great ambiance. Very fun boat bar and really great experience for a drink and dinner. There are not many choices but this was so worth it and nice people to talk to with. Fun time to visit for the weekend!

Hmmmm....ok....so this place *pre covid* was good, bordering excellent. Now, not so much.Food is great, thanks to an awesome Texan chef - Philly cheesteak needed a little more seasoning, but the service??? Shocking doesn't even begin to describe it! The staff simply could NOT care less! Forgotten orders, empty tables where patrons have left, but still with food and drinks left for over 3 hours before they were cleared...and when we asked to have the table wiped, we needed to use our own wipes afterwards....and then share them with other customers.The whole place just looks tired, and it's super sad to see. It could be great, but needs staff (other than the chef!) who care.

Food was good when it came… service was the worst I’ve EVER experienced… waited 40 mins for waiter to take order for drinks, then another 20 mins for drinks to arrive… but attractive girls who arrived after us, were served before us…… then waiter had audacity to ASK for 20% tip! never going back

This used to be a good place to eat, drink and socialize. Things have changed. They have lost their most competent staff members, and the folks working there now make it painfully obvious they just don't care how bad their service is. We were a party of 5 last night and sat and waited 15 minutes just for menus, despite being seen sitting there by at least 3 employees. Ordering took forever and then we waited over 30 minutes for the food. We had no complaints about the quality of the food, but it is unlikely we will go back anytime soon. Also, at 9PM they start Kareoke or live music. The volume is such that even if you are in another part of the restaurant, your conversation will be drowned out!

One hour wait for food.When we walked in the host told us the kitchen was backed up an hour. They only had 6 tables seated. They also didn't have any menus to show us until the table next to us finished ordering. We didn't stay.The decor is like a cheap 80s cafeteria.

This hidden gem has incredibly friendly service. The food is equally delicious - the turkey club and the veggie burger were huge portions and the curly fries were cooked to perfection.
Pretty awful service. Kid definitely didn’t want to be there helping anyone. Limited menu was basically fried food or burger. But really it’s the sad service that rates this review.

This place is amazing. Visit it. Truthfully, it has been difficult to write a review for this place because it is such a unique experience. Breakwaters is the beating heart of Point Roberts. Point Roberts is this weird little exclave of the United States that is able to function simultaneously as a fully independent island where everyone knows each other and a sustained, close community. As a long term visitor to Point Roberts, I have been welcomed with open arms and camaraderie in a way I have never felt anywhere else I have visited. Breakwaters is THE local spot which, frankly, only works because of the beating heart of all of Point Roberts “Anthony”. During the weeks I have been here Anthony has been the primary bartender and server and - oh my - is this one guy emblematic of the heart of this community. He is worth meeting, in fact, the whole town is worth meeting. From visiting Breakwaters I feel you can sense the energy of a community that supports itself, functions on its own, and has a community vibe that I have truly felt no other place I have been in my life. Why you would ‘randomly’ see this review, I don’t know, but if you do somehow come across this place, visit! Say hi to the person at the bar next to you. Say hi to the bartender, say hi to Point Roberts!Oh, and the drinks are good, the food is great, and the portions are generous - in case you wanted to know something less prosaic.
