I love this restaurant!! We have been coming for our anniversary and my birthday ever since they opened (plus other amazing times) - my favorite place to celebrate a special date in the whole wide world!!

In all fairness this was the place to be back in the day if you wanted something totally different and classy. French cuisine at its best. But as the years have gone by, no updates ( as most restaurants here do not do) the restaurant seems to be a dusty time capsule. The owners have a neat history feom Hollywood and have brought that here. This restaurant is up for sale and it shows. It is time for the owners to retire and move on. They are still hanging on with their loyal customers and good wine. I enjoyed stopping for a glass of wine and looking at some old Hollywood pictures.

Wait time for orders was extremely high! Server took good care of us, but was continually having to apologize. Food was delicious, but small portions for price charged. Now I can say I have been there, probably won't go back.

Thank you C’est Si Bon for the best Birthday dinner ever! The food was spectacular and the owners are so lovely.

We are so sad. We have been coming to this restaurant for 20+ years --- every time we visit the Port Townsend - Port Angeles area. I guess we have always gone on a weekday before as we have always gotten great service and wonderful food. On Saturday, Feb. 1 we returned to C'est si Bon. As has often been the case, we were greeted by Christmas decorations, something that has always amused us. We were seated. It took 15 minutes before we were brought any water. For the next 45 minutes plus, we were ignored. Many people came in and were seated. Orders were taken. We politely got someone's attention and were told, "I'll be back," and then no one came. I'm not exaggerating on the time. I know this restaurant is run by one couple. The husband is the greeter person, who usually visits all tables, making the visit more personal. The wife is the cook. We had never been to this restaurant when it was so busy so knew the wait would be longer than usual. But to not even be acknowledged? People from another table even got the husband's attention to let him know we were there and had not yet been attended to. He made an "I'll be back" remark (to them, not to us) and disappeared. Many couples who were seated after us had their orders taken. We were really disappointed. It seemed, if anyone ever did come take our order, it would be forever before we would be served. My husband got the attention of one of the wait staff one more time. Sigh. Lots more time passed. Never EVER having done this before, I told my husband I was leaving. This was a tough decision because we had been so looking forward to another nice meal here. We got a reservation at the Dockside, had a fantastic meal, and experienced excellent service by personable, happy folks.

Went there tonight was super excited to try considering the reviews, but we did wait an hour for our French onion soup appetizer. Then waited another 20-30 minutes for our dinners. We watched a couple leave without getting their food for the wait. We also had reservations here. After we finished our dinners we got our sides that go with our dinner that were obviously microwaved. The asparagus was atrocious, soggy, gross along with the other vegetables on the plate. We were one of the last people in there and one of the first tables to leave. When we left just about every one that was there before us was still waiting to get their food. The service was horrible. Not one time while waiting for our food did someone come up to us. I had to go and find someone to ask about our food as well as after I asked for our bill and waiting 10 or so minutes I had to call someone over. Any time a server came out which wasn’t often, I couldn’t get their attention and they didn’t even come close to our table once. My dinner was lukewarm, but the other dinner we got was hot. The food was very good. Although it does not make up for the pricing and the horrible service we had. Would not recommend this place to anyone unless they are willing to wait a bit. Also the place was not busy maybe a little bit there was at least 4 empty tables while we were there and the place is so small there was only about 10 tables total. So for it to be that behind with only about 6 tables or so we should of at least got a I’m sorry for the wait or anything. One more thing, we kept hearing a banging like something banging against a wall, and then what sounded like a dog yelp for about a minute. The banging would subside but would randomly come back. It was very apparent and very awkward. Very curious as to what was going on. The atmosphere was cute and it seemed like a very lovely place at first but the service is not something I would even expect from a dive bar.

Second visit, we don't get here enough. Food is exquisite and shockingly affordable. Yep wonderful French food and fair pricing.

Such a surreal experience, it took me three months before I summoned the will to write this review. All I can say, is when we ate in it, this almost empty restaurant. With about more than one hundred tables all set up with full service formal China. In room kept at temperatures about 20 degrees too warm. With all of the frilly, lacy overly feminine touches. I felt like I was in an Episode of Twin Peaks. Or Northern Exposure. Decent freshly made food, was overwhelming doused in heavy cream sauces. Classic French straight out of the 1950s. Wait staff so comically inept that I felt sorry for them as we laughed hysterically behind their backs. They didn't even know how to chill wine. To add insult to injury. They charge extra for tables of TWO. In a romantic restaurant none the less. I felt really sad for the 80-90 year old owner. She was very sweet, but I sure hope she is keeping this place running out of sentimentality or to keep busy as opposed to needing the money. There is so much I could comically write but I will leave you with this. Kind of difficult to get to even though right off of the highway. Follow the signs as you go in about two loop to loop circles. Yes you are on the correct path. But perhaps you should Stay away for the Owls are not what they seem.

Have you ever seen Gigi? That's what the decor reminds me of. One of the owners (a cheerful, older French gentleman) took our order, poured our wine, and made us feel at home. I wish we were served real french baguette to start but alas not. The entrees was rich l, full of flavor and made to order by the other owner. I classical guitarist serenaded the dining room throughout the cours of the evening. I feel they need a new direction but please don't change too much. It was a romantic evening in the end as we ended up being the last couple in the restaurant with the lovely music all to our selves.

So.... this was interesting. My husband had won a gift card from his work, for this restaurant. Great! We were so excited. We had never eaten here before and were local, we've always wanted to try it but always knew it was pricey. We browsed the menu before we got there so we knew about what we were going to order. When we arrived, there were a TON of people there. They had some sort of large party there with 50 people or so, no biggy. The decor was very out dated and very weird. We were seated and brought out bread and butter. The waiter asked what we would like for drinks, I requested a Lemon Drop martini, but he said they couldn't make that, so I ordered a glass of wine. There were fruit flies everywhere, I was afraid that they were going to get in my wine. My husband ordered the filet minion with Dungeness crab, medium. It looked nothing like the picture that had been posted on here. Maybe a different cook prepared it? It was really tasty but the presentation was weird. I ordered a ny steak, medium rare. My steak came out VERY rare, almost raw and I sent it back. It came back out, cooked med rare. The steak was the toughest cut of meat I've ever had. I could have made a better steak at home, myself. While I was eating my steak, the owner was walking through the restaurant SMOKING A HUGE STINKY CIGAR. I could not believe it. The people next to us asked him if he's supposed to be smoking in there and he responded "anyone can smoke cigars in my restaurant!". I was honestly disgusted. It stunk, we were eating, and it's also illegal. The 2 stars are given for my husbands filet minion and the waiter. I'm glad we didn't have to spend most of our own money on this meal. It was NOT worth the price.

Begin with the decor. It is elegant. Large paintings, crystal chandelier, dramatic entryway all just like places we have been in France. The food is also elegant. Nothing like any other restaurant in the area. Lots of sauces on meats and fishes that include wine and also a good wine list for drinking. The place is run by a delightful older couple from France who take great care with all aspects of the food, wine, decor and general atmosphere. This place is special and going there can make patrons feel special.
