Hands down the best clam chowder I have ever had in my life. Most clam chowders are either very watery with minuscule hints of clam. Or they’re a custard like consistency with potatoes so big they’re practically home fries.Hook & Line nails that perfect in between consistency with enough potatoes to give it texture and a hearty helping of clams. The chowder is perfectly seasoned, with a perfect texture and should be sold by the ton. Also, the tartar sauce is unique and perfect. It has dill which I didn’t expect but I was very pleasantly surprised. It was so good we kept asking for more to dip our fish n chips in. We couldn’t get enough!

My favorite on the menu is the Smoked Salmon Chowder. (Nicely smoked flavor hits your taste buds followed with a wonderful pepper corn followup note.)Lots of other good stuff here but that Chowder is unique & you cannot find Smoked Salmon in most Fish & Chips Restaurants.

We come here for dinner/lunch frequently. The Kraken burger and the clam chowder bread bowl are our favorites. Cod fish and chips are also really tasty. Neither small nor big, just regular sized but not complaining. Favorite thing is that they have 2towns cosmic crisp cider on tap. I like that you can have a pub feel in the bottom floor without it being in a bar which is separated with a short wall so you can still watch sport games and bring your kid. The staff are the same most of the time we go and have always been friendly.

Waitress was very nice. Out of the 3 seafood dishes we ordered, Neither one of them had any seafood in them. Crab melt sandwich was bread and cheese. Crab was nonexistent. Seafood gumbo , seafood was nonexistent. Sausage gumbo was more like it. Very Disappointed. Won't be going

Caveat - we ate at the bar. Second time here, first was a delicious oyster po'boy, the best I've had outside of Louisiana. This time was Halibut fish and chips (subbed onion rings for fries). Breading on both was excellent, and I appreciated that they were breaded differently. Onion ring breading was sturdy and crunchy, and the halibut breading was light and crunchy.Would have been five stars but halibut were slightly overdone, and I'm picky because cooking halibut perfectly is an art, and I've done it and have had some of the best at the Makah Maiden in Neah Bay. If I could, I would give it 4.5 stars because the oyster po'boy was a 5 for sure.Service was excellent, bartender was very courteous, friendly, and flexible with drink and food combos. Appreciate the local decor and history on the walls, and I have had great service in the midst of the summer tourist season and the dead of winter. Definitely recommend for a PNW seafood experience.Parking: On street parking all around, small free parking lot on North side of building adjacent to large paid lot at the Red Lion inn. Additional free parking lot a block north at the city pierWheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair access to upper restaurant from South entrance on Front Street, and to lower level bar from West entrance on Lincoln Street

Honestly, I usually just get the fish and chips, but everything that I have had here has been killer! Kinda noisy most of the time, but that's just because it's always busy here because they have great food! Service is always top notch as well!

Besides the service being super slow the food was decent. The hostess and waitresses were to busy down at the bar, the one hostess was too busy flirting. Sat for 15 minutes for drinks and the water had plastic in it. yay. Also waited 20 minutes for the check.

I can’t believe this place doesn’t have a higher rating! This was some of the best customer service I’ve had in a long time. They had amazing food (the clam chowder was extra creamy and my friends fish and chips was very flavorful) and a beautiful atmosphere with art created by the owners wife. I can’t recommend this place enough! Shout out to our sever, Tillie
