We came here with friends and had mixed reviews of the food. Hubby and I had hibachi chicken with vegetables and rice and it was delicious, 5 stars.
Our friends had sushi which they said didn’t taste fresh. A Japanese restaurant with anything less than very fresh sushi is unacceptable.

Best sushi in town. Good service. Two trays of great sashimi large saki with tip under $100. Considering other restaurant prices, in my opinion its the best

Stopped here after the Port Angeles ferry. The food was fine. Nothing fantastic, but generous portions and reasonable prices. The amount of Americana decor at a Japanese restaurant was a bit weird and over the top.

Oh my gosh- the food! We've been here several times and it's constantly amazing every time. My favorite is the steak hibachi, idk what marinade they use but it's my favorite! And they give you sauce to dip it in... so good!!! Best Friend rice on the peninsula that comes with the hibachi, I love it.

The rolls are good for kids, lots of cream cheese and fun anime names. The hibachi was good. The lobster hibachi was pricey but tasty. The chicken hibachi was plentiful and well priced. Appx $25/pp and service was excellent! Great for family dinner.

This is a decent place, I didn't expect much, so expectations were met. Lol. The yummy sauce is interesting, I didn't know what to do with it because the sauce is kinda sweet. Imitation crab for a place so close to the ocean shame.

I called in a to go order for a roll, when i got it, the roll was very underwhelming. The pictures on here make the sushi rolls look excellent, so i was disappointed to see they were just slightly larger than a quarter in diameter, and quite lacking. Just rice, avocado, and fish with some light roe, not evenly distributed with some slices having no roe. Honestly not sure what happened and i wont make accusations but the only thing i could think is they don’t like doing to-go orders? I was honestly shocked to see how small and how little it had on it for the price i paid.

We came in as a group of three adults and a child and were seated within a minute or two. While the staff noticed our little one, they didn’t offer a high chair or booster seat, which would have been helpful. We ordered the hibachi dinner, scallops, steak, and sukiyaki dinner. Each dish was generous in portion and full of flavor, definitely worth the price. Overall, it was a good dining experience.

Terrible quality fish. Honestly, terrible. It presented well, but lacked quality.

Ordered the sashimi sushi combo meal and I sent it back. I don’t remember ever sending a dish back. No trained sushi chef would ever serve this fish to a customer.

There were several other glaring warnings that this wasn’t a true sushi restaurant.

1. Chinese Dragon on the menu and wall (first thing I noticed)

2. Songoku (Japanese) = Damaged Country (English). Japanese are proud of their country and culture (rightfully so). I can’t imagine a sushi chef naming his restaurant that. But what do I know?

3. Fried rice served with hibachi dinner. Japanese don’t serve fried rice.

4. Sweet and Sour sauce served with fried calamari. Not breaded with panko, no rings or tentacles.

5. No sushi chef. 3 young men behind the sushi bar.

6. No manager, no owner on site. We were told the owner was at his other restaurant.

So it is what it is, not authentic, and poor quality.

Sushi was almost gas station quality. Watered down, tasteless and quite mushy. Definitely not fresh. The roll was too much avocado and cream cheese to let any fish flavor shine thru. I definitely recommend the grilled hibachi dinners if you are hungry. Massive amounts of rice and protein.

Calamari was not identifiable as any specific part of a squid. Hmmm.
