Cozy little spot to grab a delicious burger! Right from the jump I KNEW I had to have a burger. Bartender was polite and asked what I wanted, I replied “a burger, surprise me!”I was not disappointed. Presentation was not disappointing. Nice sized patty stacked with some onion rings, accompanied by fresh jalapeños all put together on a brioche bun. The flavor profile was out of this world. Hints of garlic, mild white cheese, sweet and crisp of the fried onions, topped with the flavor of the jalapeño. I was expecting some heat, but there wasn’t really any, which I was surprised by.Service was quick and top notch. Whenever I’m in the area again, I’ll make sure to pop in and have another “surprise” burger. I wasn’t disappointed the first time, let’s see if we can keep that streak going!

Tried to call and place an order for my coworkers and I. Got placed on hold and waited for 10 minutes before trying to call again a few minutes later, thinking they were just busy. Called about three more times, every call went straight to voicemail. Walked over ~10minutes after, and there was only one table seated at the time. The cashier walked over a few moments later and exclaimed how busy they were and how it may not look super busy. I told her about the wait time and the phone issue and she wasn’t phased at all. Just shrugged and grabbed the phone off the counter showing me that it was still on hold from 20 minutes ago. I placed my order and went to wait. Was told that one of the items I had ordered was out and that I had to place another order. After receiving my food, all fried items were burnt and overdone, fries are overly salted and all around a negative experience. Coming from a restaurant background, I understand when it may be busy, but that’s no excuse to slack on customer service and experience. Will not be back.

I hadn’t gone to The Rail in a very long time due to being disappointed with the burger quality. I went with my friends a couple weeks ago and ordered their Ahi tuna melt and was pleasantly surprised! It was very tasty. I thought I’d give them another chance today thinking maybe they had upped their game but sadly I was very disappointed. I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich which had multiple issues. First off, my fries had NO salt or seasoning whatsoever. When I went in for a bite of my sandwich the chicken had a very rubbery texture. I separated it from the rest of my meal and took another bite and had to spit it out. Again ,no seasoning what so ever and a very unsettling texture. It didn’t look like it had been grilled either.

We were the only people in the joint, mid afternoon, nowhere near closing.You think they'd be happy to have some customers.Nope, guy at the counter was rude and seemed annoyed at our presence,made everything seem very rushed. Huge eye roll from the cook when our ticket popped up.We only ordered 2 burgers, sorry you had to do your job.It's counter service, but we still left a 20% tip. No one checked on us , had to go to the bar for a drink refill and bus our own table. Yet dude had time to stand there and check his hair in the reflection of the napkin dispencer several times.For $16+ a burger you'd expect a little better. Won't be back. Sorry not sorry

Great burgers, Sandwiches & snacks in this little spot across from the Port Angeles Wharf. I choose to eat there every time I'm in town. They do have some great beers / ciders on tap and hard drinks as well. Service can be hit or miss depending on how many people are working the kitchen and the rush of customers but food is ALWAYS delicious!

I'd like to rank the food served at The Rail Burgers, but we've been there three times and never been served. The first time we went was a week after they opened. We sat down at the bar and asked for a menu. The bartender told us that they weren't serving food yet. Our second attempt was last Saturday. After sitting down, the server told us that the wait for food was going to be 45 - 50 minutes. We were attending a concert that night, so we couldn't wait that long. The third and final attempt was last Thursday night. We went in at 7:35pm and sat down. A hostess came over and told us that they were closing, so there was no food or bar. As we walked out we noticed the schedule posted on the door that said they were open until 8:00 pm. Apparently 8:00 pm is when the staff wants to walk out the door, so they start turning away customer much earlier. My wife and I have both worked in the food and bar business. This look nice, but it appears to be run by amateurs.
