Surprisingly good food. Crab Cobb salad was delicious. Service OK. Not gourmet dining, definitely good ??
Okay, to begin with, I notice odors/fragrances. As soon as I stepped in the door, there was an off-putting odor. Also, the now open sign on the building was fastened with black duct tape??That said, I ordered the Mateo Burger. It was great. Also had 2 glasses of wine and a side of fries. The server was excellent. The food was very good. The price was a little high…$41.30 for everything?!? I would not go back due to the high cost and ambience, but what I received in the way of food and service was good.
My food came almost 15 minutes before my husband's. He didn't get the toast that was supposed to come with his fettuccine. My risotto was mushy and pastey. Sad to say, we won't be back or refer anyone.Light crowd so they closed early.
Parking: Big lot, plenty of room for our RV.
Have stopped for lunch and dinner there. Great pork chops with awesome sauce. Prime rib dinner was excellent. Great friendly service definitely going back.
The staff is very helpful and tend to your needs in a timely manner, they also have very good drink options!
Was really looking forward to trying this place out, but it didn't hit a homerun. More like a double. Atmosphere was great, but although mostly empty the service was a bit slow. Was banking on the food being a smash, but it was more of a pass. Prices were a bit high as well, but that's expected with the cost of everything these days. Wouldn't say never again, but it might be a while before giving it another try.
While visiting my son, we decided to try lunch thinking they would have a good fish and steak menu. Jasmine, our waitress, seated us right away and took our order for drinks. My son ordered iced regular tea and she returned saying they were out but could make him hot tea. After a selection was named, he chose black tea. I was a bit perplexed why they couldn't make up a pitcher of tea with the tea bags, but it seemed she was the only one working so might have been a staffing thing or the iced tea is made from something different. I ordered water. When she returned for our food order, I mentioned I'd love fish, but their only fish choice had four pieces, way too much for me. She said I could order the child's fish and chip if I wished so I did. We asked for the artichoke appetizer, and she said it was no longer on the menu as they were making changes. I was disappointed its being removed as that is a favorite at other restaurants. She offered they have fried pickle chips that were not on the menu, and we agreed. She brought out a huge plate full. We couldn't even eat half. They were hot, good and seemed freshly made. My fish came with two nice size pieces of cod, coleslaw and an ample amount of fries. The fish was tender and tasted fresh though not sure if it is frozen something like Van Camps. The menu is written its beer battered and deep fried to perfect. It was flaky, hot and not rubbery but did have a bit of oil that came out of eat bite. The cole slaw was fresh and crunchy with just the right amount of dressing for me but someone else might want a bit more added. Personally, I think drenching coleslaw or any salad in dressing takes away the flavor. My son ordered the 12 oz ribeye medium rare. The only potato choices were French fries or garlic mash potatoes, so he chose the mashed. It came with a serving of steamed broccoli that he found a bit over steamed so didn't eat it. His steak was more rare than medium rare but ate part of it without sending it back and boxed the rest to cook longer at home. He said it was good but nothing spectacular. I was going to order the tacos but they were pork filled and pork bothers me. No other choice of meat was offered. It would be nice to see a shredded chicken, beef or ground beef choice. The little bar area looks a bit inviting though we only glanced in to see how it looked. The booths where we sat had very worn seats and low to the ground so hard for me to get up (I'm disabled.) It needs painted inside. The red walls and black trim don't shout "barn" and seems a bit dowdy. In the front area as you walk in, there is an odd wall piece with a plain top of a wine barrel that doesn't go. That would be more for a winery, not barn theme. The steakhouse name is a bit misleading as the only two steaks offered are the ribeye and an 8 oz sirloin with mash potatoes and steamed asparagus. It sounds like a negative experience, but honestly, it wasn't. Our waitress was very pleasant and a hard worker. It's comfortable and a good place for locals to go have a burger without all the thrills. It was just average. Will we return when I come back? We might once we know the new menu is up and see what changes are made.
Ordered today expecting something amazing but got my seafood linguine was water not creamy an they left the shells on the seafood. Ordered a bake potatoe got fries in to go order. Then they said they did not have baked potatos then the food was bland no flavor nothing. The sauce on linguine was water with butter if you ever get a pasta it's supposed to be creamy.
We went for the prime rib (Friday only) and it did not disappoint! We always have plenty of leftovers for lunch the next day! Staff is great too!
We had been traveling for hours and were hungry. We found to place by using Goggle Maps. This was at about 1:00 p.m. on a Sunday. This place is large, but had 5 tables seated. We waited about 10 minutes for the waitress to take our order. She told us, before we ordered, that the debit/credit had just gone down. That was okay, because we had cash. We ordered the beer battered fish and chips with cole slaw. 1) Huge serving of fish and chips...but not beer battered. The fries tasted as though they were cooked with the fish. Husband said his fish tasted fishy. 2) Everything was hot, including the slaw which was warm. 3) Husband asked for more tartar and lemon. When the extra tartar came, we were told that that was all they had for the day, because it was house made. So? 4) Cole slaw was overdressed. Will we go back. Probably not.

The drinks are absolutely amazing, the bartender amaya does an outstanding job and will make you want to come again. She was so polite and made some fantastic drinks, shes always making new drinks to try and will always give you the best service. I highly recommend coming in to see her and try a drink, you're guaranteed a good drink and good time.
Went to the barn after it reopened its dining room and was pleasantly surprised with the experience I had. Amaya was the name of our bartender and she did a wonderful job of making sure all of our wants and needs were taken care of. food was great! would definitely recommend checking this place out.
Mya is by far the best bartender, said to surprise me with a vodka mix drink and she did not disappoint. I ordered 2 more of the same drink before I tried another one she made which was also great. Matt’s Gouda burger was also one of the best burgers I’ve tasted.
