We ordered a hamburger basket, a deluxe burger and a chocolate milk shake. Food was perfectly cooked. The fries had the perfect crisp outside to soft inside ratio, and my husband was raving about how great his milk shake was. The outside is a little rustic, but the service was great, and the food was awesome! Thank you Sam. You had great customer service, something that feels like it is becoming a rarity.

If you are ever in Pullman WA Cougar Country is a must. It’s a Pullman institution. If I am there for a game or visiting my sister who is a local I am there. The minute you walk in you get transported to an old school burger place and the customer service is outstanding. They have a great menu but I stick with the ? bacon burger and fries. They have the good fry sauce. The burger is classic and it is not sloppy or overrun with shredded lettuce. They will make it to order so if you do not like something they will exclude it. They have fantastic shakes and cyclones. It’s Oreo for me. Thick and creamy you will not be disappointed and they have over 20 flavors. Give them a try and support local. You will not be disappointed.
Parking: Park in their lot or next to them at the laundry mat. Plenty of spots

En route from Spokane to Moscow, ID, I yearned for a classic burger. Not a fancy restaurant burger, but a traditional Drive In mom and pop type burger. After searching for a short time, I discovered Cougar Country Drive In. The setting was welcoming, the bathrooms were clean, and the menu was appealing. We ordered burgers and fries. Our food arrived quickly, hot and fresh. My first bite confirmed we'd made the right choice! The burger was a thin 1/4 pounder on a sesame bun, perfectly dressed, with a side of hot, skillfully seasoned crinkle fries. We were both extremely satisfied. We also met the owner, who was sweeping, and her commitment and pride for her establishment were evident. We'll definitely return on our next drive through!
Wow! Just driving through town and found this gem. Tasty burgers and the best hot and salty fries. We had just finished a 14 month adventure in our Airstream and this rivaled our favorite burger stop we found along the way. The dining area and restroom were spotless. Let me repeat that “ The Restroom was spotless”. You can’t say that very often anymore. We even opted for a Jim Dandy ice cream bar since the food was so good. It didn’t disappoint either, ohh the fudge surprise. Finally, Sam took our order and was extremely kind and helped us with the menu options being new comers. Do yourself a favor a visit the Cougar Drive-In and enjoy the old school burger joint menu. We’ll certainly be back.
