Was skeptical walking in but Food and service ended up being pretty good. The bathroom was absolutely FILTHY which was a huge turn off. Door handle slimy...Not really a clean freak but ewww. Usually if the bathroom is that nasty, the kitchen is probably not far behind. I ate here last week, for the umpteenth time in my 25+ years in Pullman. Always great food, and they have the BEST pot stickers in the Quad Cities (they make them by hand, while all the others seem to come from frozen food service deliveries).
Pullman's restaurant scene is bad. I have visited often enough times over the years to have tried all of the recommended restaurants multiple times at this point. New Garden is my current favorite; I believe it would have a chance to stand out in even the crowded Seattle Chinese food scene. The food is decent, the service is good, the menu is large, the prices are fair, and I like the ambiance a lot. Specific to the ambiance, I find the wallpaper and waterfall neat. I attached...
