Overcooked small portions, server seemed more interested in gossiping with another server 2 tables away, typical stereotypical Mexican restaurant atmosphere. Worn out, uncomfortable seats.

I really liked my meal, the portion size was very good especially when compared to price. I did have to take a few stars off my review because the first glass I was given had lipstick marks still on the rim. I also had to take stars off because I got very very food sick after eating here and ended up in the ER with what was suspected to be salmonella.

My wife and I live in Austin,Texas, so I was pretty skeptical about getting Mexican food in Pullman, Washington. But I was very pleasantly surprised! As other have mentioned, it wasn't as spicy as I'd have liked, but... I'm a jalapeño-eating Texan who grew eating spicy Tex-Mex, so I won't hold that against them at all.
I had the beef burrito, and it was very solid! Not earth shaking, but definitely yummy. And it was huge, and came with rice and beans. My wife had the beef fajitas, and they were also perfectly good with a large serving.
We're definitely biased because of where we're from, but I have zero qualms recommending Ranche Viejo. For Washington State, this is perfectly reasonable Mexican food. I'd come back any time.
The service was also great. Our waiter was super friendly and solicitous. Same with the host - super kind and friendly.
I posted pix of the menu because the menu on Google maps is WAY wrong.

Literally the worst dining experience I have ever had. Waited for 45 minutes at the door where the hostess repeatedly messed up seating. When finally sat we waited for 20 minutes before we had to ask for a server. The server then took our order and the food took over 45 minutes. We watched several tables who walked in after us eat and leave before we even got our food. After 20 minutes they said our food was next. It took 20 more minutes. When it arrived the food was fine- nothing special. We then had to ask for a ticket cause we were once again ignored. My husband asked to speak to a manager who then said he knew he was mad so wouldn’t come out of the kitchen. You shouldn’t be a manager if you can’t listen to issues. They then told us we were lying about how long everything took and threatened to call the police. It was insane- save you money and save your time and go somewhere else!

We have eaten here a handful of times since moving to Pullman last year. I was surprised by the bad reviews because their food is super consistent. We have ordered lots of different things on the menu and always have been happy. They are also super nice! Definitely will continue visiting!

Came here on a double date with my wife and another couple. The food was okay, at best. Not great, and certainly not the worst ive had. Me and another person got margaritas, we both agreed that we could not taste any alcohol in them at all. The kicker for me, one of the best parts about going for some mexican for me, is the chips ans salsa at the beginning. They bring you one basket (for 4 adults) and then if you want more than that, they charge you $1.50 for additional chips and salsa. Never been charged for chips and salsa at a mexican place before. Definitely would not make it a point to come to this place.

1. Salsa was like tomato juice no flavor, no herbs /spices. Felt like eat chips dipped in tomato juice.
2 bad service: they did not give all the items in the order together. We had to ask them twice about our items.
3. Rice side dish was dried out as they had put 2/3 spoons of rice and spread it big so it fills more area in the plate with a very thin layer. Quantity was really just 2/3 tea spoons :(
4. We asked them for mild entry and they made it spicy.
