We just got back from our second ever visit to the Puyallup location and I am just so happy! Lupe Our server is incredible. She is so kind, warm, authentic and knowledgeable. When my fiancé asked for the weight of his steak so he could track his meal Lupe was happy to go ask the kitchen staff, even though we were on a time crunch and she had a busy section we felt so cared about and feel like she and the whole staff went above and beyond! Every time our order has come out, correct hot and absolutely delicious after living in Washington For nine years, I have been disappointed by almost every other Mexican restaurant and El Toro is where I found what I have been looking for! You have to try their queso And the chicken flautas or Carne Asada are both to die for!!! THANK YOU LUPE & EL TORO 🤩

Great place to go with ages 7-82! Lots of menu items for starving children and those with multiple allergies.

The food is amazing and all the servers were so nice! The salsa they give you as a starter is very flavorful without being overly spicy!

Food was wonderful. The waitress we had was the worst experience I have ever had. She was rude. When we asked for a refill on chips and a soda she decided to wipe down table and the bar. We had to ask her several times and she finally refilled the chips and soda. The chips basket had 5 chips in it and 1/2 of a glass of soda. With wait staff like her we will not be going back. She needs lessons on customer service.

It was a more upscale environment. It didn’t have the usual painted motif on the walls tables and chairs. So it wasn’t distracting. Very nice time. Food was excellent and arrived in a timely manner. Our waitress was very nice.

Great place to go for good Mexican food & drinks. We normally sit in bar , but this time sat in the regular seating since we were with my son & his family . Enchiladas, tacos & steak fajitas were good, we were all happy with our food & drinks. Waitress was friendly & efficient. Dining room & restroom were clean well stocked.

Disappointed in our experience. While they brought the chips and salsa to the table quickly, we had to wait a bit to order. Not a big deal. They brought out our drinks first and when they brought the food my fiancé’s drink was empty but they didn’t offer him another, and also let the table too quickly for us to ask. Then we realized they didn’t give us any forks. Had to wait several minutes and flag someone down to get those. Still didn’t get another drink and that was one of the main reasons we came. Sat a while when we were finished waiting for the check. They brought the check and we were packed up ready to leave (thinking you pay up front), they came back and took our card, leaving us standing there with our baby for several more minutes before finally bringing it back. It was not nearly busy enough to make sense. We also saw our server chatting it up at another table (just the one table) while we stood there waiting. He did offer a rushed apology for “talking too much” when he brought back our card, but at that point we were already pretty unimpressed overall. Bummer as we were hoping to find our new go-to Mexican spot.

Happy hour selection and prices are terrific. Best queso I've had in PNW, and really good tortilla chips.
Service was just right.

Es muy bueno la atención The service was very good, except that the entrance seemed a bit confusing because you didn't know where to enter.
