Panera Bread distribution

I was surprised that my breakfast sandwich did not have "real" eggs in it. The eggs were rubbery and had a very weird look and texture. Panera claims to use real eggs. If they do, they certainly add something to those eggs. The looked almost gelatin consistently when I bit into them. Not fluffy like a scrambled egg. Shame on you Penera for not being up front and honest about your "eggs".

I took a bus load of hungry high school girls, called ahead (a few days), spoke with Amanda who was gracious and helpful and fully prepared for us. In these days of places not having enough staff and generally poorly trained, this was most refreshing. Order takers were efficient, guided the kids through ordering so they got what they wanted, so far as I noticed all menu items were available, the girls liked their food, and it was quickly prepared. Amanda had helped keep an area for us to use as a team. One of the easier and more efficient experiences I have had with a team in many years. I will mention we have also had a similar wonderful experience at the Panera in Olympia, so I am beginning to mark Panera as my "go to" place. I got the "two for". The hot part was hot, tasty without being overly seasoned, and the cold part, sandwich was plentiful and a great blend of flavors and freshly prepared. Even my vegan girl was happy. And my foreign exchange girl says she now has a new addiction: the cinnamon rolls.

I took my husband hear to try my favorite chicken baja salad. I order extra chicken on it. The rice and quinoa were hard and crunchy Very disappointed. I will not be back.

I had a previous bad experience at Panera... The tines on their forks break easily and I swallowed one. BUT... My mistake...I decided to give it another try. I ordered a bowl of chicken noodle soup. I got a BOWL OF BROTH!!!!??? Really!!!??? When I called, the manager says she was "so sorry" and told me she would replace it. I was now 12 miles away. I think they thought they could get away with "nothing but broth" since it was a "to go" order and I wouldn't see it till I got home. Panera is permanently off my list!
