I've had a day at home, going grocery shopping sometimes can be my way of talking to another human even if it's just for a couple minutes while they ring up my groceries. However, if you go to the Safeway at 9 PM, there's nobody working those registers. Yes I should've flat out. Asked the lady will you ring me up and I didn't, next time I will if I end up going back, but I did say to her, is there anybody working the registers? I don't know how to ring up my bananas and she took that to mean oh let me show you even thought I could care less. And I'm thinking "no, I don't want you to show me, I want you to do it for me, so I can sit here and say mindless small talk while you do your job, cuz I don't work here, you do!" I put them on the conveyor belt and then you do the rest then I pay ...what's wrong with that system? You guys are so fricken money hungry. You are also the most expensive grocery store in the area. The more I think about it I hate Safeways. The only thing that Safeway has over Fred Meyer is the bakery, that's it tho; other than that, you guys suck!! I left my whole cart in the self checkout so you could then actually do some work and have to put back those groceries, hopefully the frozen stuff didn't melt!

Dating back to a discrimination encounter I experienced 8 months ago that I still haven't received my refund for.The front end self checkout customer service representative was rude to me when approaching me while I was making a payment by mentioning a comment, "she's just not doing what we want today." Then went to press buttons on my payment screen while I was swiping my card. My transaction was approved and as she walked away, the system froze and didn't give me a receipt. She came back and said that I didn't make a payment as she pulled a piece of paper out of the machine and crumpled it in her hand. She took my receipt and started accusing me of not paying and then after telling her not to speak to me in that way, she called me a bitch. So I called it right back to her and told her that she shouldn't treat customers like that. She went to another customer who was white and was talking trash about me to her right next to me. You have a racist and discriminatory worker mistreating a Hispanic customer. She also stole $4.65 from me that I cannot get back as she stole my receipt. While I do not have her name, she is in the photo dropping off a basket from the other customer as she was still talking about me unprofessionally.

Holly is very busy. She is doing her best but she needs help and her lack of customer service shows huge. I feel really bad for how over worked she is. I hope Safeway can find a way to help her out so she will not be so overworked. We will not be back

They are down to one unlock door now. I mentioned it to the manager who blew it off saying corporate closed one set of doors and one set of doors is broken. I can't imagine this is not an unsafe situation and a fire code violation. i'm gonna do my shopping somewhere else

Update:I made order online to be delivered 9.4.22 and 2 bags with 4 items showed. I called immediately ad it said delivered. I have guy on security footage in plain car dropping off bag of 10# potatoes and 1 other bag. It had bananas,box, oranges. Of 19 items, only 4 delivered. Now, I called 877#, got guy who said manager call back That didn't happen so I reached out to their chat. John Bart. Well, he said he issued refund and guess what? He didn't. This schmuck didn't do a thing. I called store, spoke to George the manager, sarcasm in tone n infection, sounds like a kid. Who them said the delivery manager was sitting net to him in that tiny office, but put me on hold for a while. Then got the next guy Zane. He wasn't better. DONT YOU WATCH THE TRANSACTIONS????!!!some person picking up groceries and you don't check to see they grabbed it all so accountability sucks, the driver is suggested as the culprit by Zane as he pretends to be shocked. Um, it's Labor day weekend and my order isn't here, you wanna play coy. Wrong person! My family ended up going to Fred Meyers punk. I checked chat, got Mariah who never came back, guess it was too over her head in customer service, ironic, eh? Then called for live person 877 # as the business manager said in her reply. Nope, didn't get connected, called again and spoke to Yolanda. She said John Bart never completed refund, the store never submitted their side and all involved didn't issue refund. She said the 3-5 days he noted isn't policy but 7days from today I'd be issued a refund fir the total amount as a courtesy for so many issues. She said the store was sent this invoice and notated on account. If by 12th, no account refund for $136.28, I'll expect cash in person by Zane if he can man up and meet a mad mother who had to delay bbq for family because the children run the store poorly, customer service isn't good at all and zero, I mean zero accountability. Don't mess with people's groceries! Hungry, angry mama will put you in your place boys! I reached out to becu fraud and claims dept today. They said if in 7days it doesn't go through, they'd take action. Don't buy from this company. Lousy lying lazy unaccountable people. I used to like Safeway in King County, but Pierce county in 4 locations are horrible. Summit is the one who delivers. John was happy to give me their number as he didn't want to deal with me. He should be disciplined based on principle. You tell a customer you're refunding then don't even do it, then you shouldn't get paid either. If I were his supervisor, he'd be fired on the spot and shown the door. Smh.Apologies for typos, finger typing while angry on mobile. I posted my previous review, since it went MIA. There is only one door open at this Safeway store. Be careful where you park it is a long walk.

I went to the deli for Chinese food, and it looked great. I ordered a Shanghai dinner for two, and everything seemed okay, they extra stuffed the boxes for me. The food didn't taste as good as other Safeway's, it was all too old and spicy. The General Tsao's was mostly just breading and spice rather than chicken, it was basically inedible. I will not go to this Safeway again.

5pm and the Chinese food was almost out. Not usually a big deal, but the cook did not want to make anymore. What was there was old and burnt. There should be food till 8pm - according to the worker. He cooked more food after a supervisor told him to - it inconvenienced him to cook and delayed him leaving when he wanted to. Only gave a 3 star because the worker was so helpful and tried to get him to cook.
