Food was excellent and service friendly.
Just had a great dinner with the best service ever from Kaitlyn
We went to the Puyallup branch on a Saturday morning at around 11:30. We had a quick 10-min wait & browsed the menu while waiting. We probably got there at peak morning because the lot was full when we arrived but had plenty of open spaces when we left about an hour later.
It’s a cute space with a train theme. It looks like the kinda place that would have Buffalo plaid accents so it’s sorta surprising that it doesn’t. If this restaurant was next to the Red Barn Market (also in Puyallup), the aesthetic would be peak suburban-bordering-rural. Multiple booths around the lower level seating looked comfy & were full. The upper level has 5 4-top tables, 3 2-tops, & narrow chairs that are very ‘simple American diner’ types-any bump would spill a very full cup. We’d love to see the site do well enough to upgrade the tables to booths on the upper level, as it seems sorta disjointed with the different types. It was all very clean.
The noise level is the upper level of moderate bordering on loud/talkable. The music was from a single speaker & was loud enough to be heard over the talking. There was 90s/early 2000s country playing.
We started with coffee & OJ. The juice tasted almost like fresh-squeezed & wasn’t overly cold, though the coffee was pretty weak. Sugar/substitutes on the table & French Vanilla creamer pods were brought with it. Our server seemed to be handling most of not all of the upper level tables so she was constantly busy. She asked twice about a coffee refill, & was able to do so on the second ask. I think us knowing what we wanted fairly quickly helped her.
We got the chicken (strips) & waffles and the chicken fried steak & eggs.
The strips were lightly breaded & the chicken was cooked well, but both were pretty bland. The butter on the waffles had touched one of the strips & ended up using some of the extra butter to give the rest of the strips more flavor. The waffles were a perfect Belgian, the cinnamon worked great! It needed the syrup though-it didn’t really work well without it. The butter was interesting: it looked like it either wasn’t fully creamed together or maybe had some separation, because the scoop was melty on the outside but inside almost had the consistency of semi-cooked cake, for lack of a better way to describe it. Pretty thick but inconsistent & a bit globby. We ended up taking half the waffle home & think it’ll be a good snack later.
The CFC was pretty good! The breading was a bit thick and didn’t adhere well to the chicken when cut, but the chicken was juicy and the breading itself was crispy and had good flavor. The white gravy was fine but wasn’t really amazing. The eggs & hash browns were perfect, and the sourdough toast was solid. It wasn’t a strong sour so it was great for jam, and it looked like it was from a handmade loaf.
We will definitely be back! The menu had a lot of options and we want to try quite a few of them.

Every plate that came out of the kitchen looked like it belonged in a magazine, and mine tasted even better than it looked.
The eggs were cooked to perfection, the bacon was crisp without being greasy, and the pancakes were fluffy clouds of buttery heaven. Even the little details stood out—freshly squeezed juice, perfectly brewed coffee, and presentation that showed pride in every dish.
The atmosphere was cozy yet lively, perfect for both a quick bite or a relaxed morning with friends. Prices were more than fair for the quality, and I left already planning my next visit.
If you’re looking for the gold standard of breakfast spots, this place has nailed it in every category—food, service, cleanliness, and ambiance. Five stars across the board.

The food is delicious. I will be returning again and again for sure. They have unique dishes with their own spin on it. . I had the Eggs Benedict and it did not disappoint. The ham was the thickest iv ever gotten on a eggs Benedict before. They have 4 different Benedict types from classic to their own creative creations. They have a blueberry lemon pancakes, blueberry stuffed French toast. The next time I go I'm gonna get the chicken fried steak. I've herd nothing but great things about it. The waitress said it's their most popular breakfast item. I will update when I go and letcha know how it is.Definitely worth going and sitting down relaxing and having a great breakfast with your family.

We were hesitant because of the mixed reviews online. It was what we expected, large menu with so many options. Tried the club sandwich, it was mediocre and the cheese was not good. My son who loves fried chicken said he didn’t like the skin. And the fish looked like frozen patties, not much flavor. They made a dang good Bloody Mary though!
Atmosphere seemed off, such a large restaurant/bar with minimal seating. I don’t think I’d come back by choice, except maybe for a drink.

I was hoping for more. It definitely does not live up to the hype. It is Sunday at 10:30, so I understand the 30 minute wait for a table and maybe the 30 minutes for food to come out. I was unimpressed with the food though. Spanish Hobo hash was a little greasy. Chicken fried steak was bland. The country gravey tasted like flour and was lacking any kind of seasoning. Edible but bland. Hashbrowns were overcooked. I feel it just doesn't live up to what I've heard. I'm really kind of bummed. Wait staff was really nice though. I have no complaints on the service. It was just minutes before we got seated to get coffee and then to order.
Well here is an update some time later. We have visited the Tim's Kitchen in Orting and it's 10 times better. Better service, better food and all in all better atmosphere.
We tried this one in Puyallup once again. This makes the 3rd time. Once when they opened. I never expect much at a grand opening. It's busy and overcrowded. As expected it was bad. Bad service bad food. Took my buddy to eat there a year later on a Saturday. Same thing, we got food a hour after we sat down. The food was just okay. Nothing to write home about. Gave them a few years later to improve. Still the same. We only waited 5 min this Saturday for a table. It was 20min to 12. Asked if they were still serving breakfast. She said lun h is at noon. So I asked for a lunch menu because we weren't sure what we wanted. Waitress should back up at 2 minutes to noon. We wanted breakfast. She says I'm not sure if I can get the order in on time. Wow.
We finally got food at 12:35. My Spanish omelet was hot, my toast was cold. Hash browns were overcooked on one end and lightly cooked on the other. Both plates. I'm guessing to have something wrong with your grill. It should have been hot enough by 12pm.
I'm done with this location. Go to the Orting Tim's if you want good food and service.
