Trappers is always pretty good, but never quite as good as many small business sit down places. Still, we always end up going every blue moon for all-you-can-eat lunch. This place has the best sushi of all the trappers I've been to personally. And the people were super cool, nice, and attentive. My main issue with Trappers as a whole right now is that with how much lunch costs, the California rolls are downright insulting haha. I know inflation is crazy right now, but when i'm craving a california roll and i order one and it is literally just a crab stick and cucumber shaving?? mannnn that is just not a cali roll. they really thought they could get away with that and no one would notice or??? That's like ordering a pulled pork sandwich and just getting a piece of pork between 2 buns and no sauce. Lord have mercy on yall for that

Been a huge fan of Trappers since before there was a trappers (aka sushi town in bonney lake). Service was great. Happy Hour made things affordable.

"In" Restaurant service charge fees, new takeout fees, increased food price plus a heavy expectation to tip in excess of 18% to pay for new minimum wages.

Great food with a unique set of sushi rolls you don't see elsewhere. It's not as heavy on the classics, so if you're looking for a more traditional belt sushi, I wouldn't go here. Good cocktails and a nice bar area for watching a game. The menu screamed local pride and felt a little political, which was a bit odd. Great place overall.

Seems everytime I go here, it gets worse. I called last night to place an order over the phone because you can’t seem to order online. Called and pressed 6 for order line and no answer. Called again and pressed 5 to get hopefully someone to answer. I had a girl answer the phone and told me I had to call and press 6 and I said I already did that and nobody answered. She said go ahead and call back and press 6 because they’re at the station and they will answer. I hung up and called back three more times to nobody picking up the order station phone. I was frustrated because my kids just really wanted to eat sushi so I decided to drive there and just order in person. When I got there and decided to walk into the “to go” order station, I told her I needed to place an order because I tried to over the phone and nobody answered. She looked at me kind of confused and didn’t even apologize and took my order. I had ordered two kids meals, one with teriyaki and one with California roll. I also had ordered a trappers roll and never got any complementary sides that normally come with your meal when you eat at the restaurant. Then they thought it would be wise to stick sliced apples in with my kids meals so there’s teriyaki sauce all over the apples, which is disgusting. The service has just become so awful for what you pay, and the lack of quality and preparing food. This will definitely be the last time I eat here or order from here and will find somewhere else to go. I just hope that they can do better in the future.

This is currently our favorite place to get sushi. Everything is always consistently delicious! My daughter has a gluten allergy, and it’s great that they have gluten free options, as well as gluten free soy sauce. We definitely recommend! Also, the staff has always been kind. We normally do pick-up or take out (order in the app or order to go). They are super helpful and our order is always great. Thank you!Dietary restrictions: My daughter has a gluten allergy, and it’s great that they have gluten free options, as well as gluten free soy sauce.

The food is great and the sushi chefs at the bar were attentive and personable, however, the waitress (who just gets drinks and cleans up our plates) was rude and she stole the cash tip we were trying to give to the chefs!

The last time I ate at Trappers I noticed my puyallup roll was a little skimpy, I didn't complain as every restaurant has an off day. I went Today and not only are the daily specials no longer offered my roll was the saddest little sushi roll I’ve ever seen. I never order anything else but the puyallup roll and its so much lighter on the filling than previous times and the green tea seemed diluted. I understand that costs are going up but quality should stay the same. I will be finding a new sushi spot!

I eat here once a month, it's not the best sushi in the world but it's by far the best sushi in town.Nigiri is always tasting fresh!Kid-friendliness: My kids always come to enjoy it with me. They love the max and cheese bites.

I used the new Trappers Sushi app to order dinner since it said it would be ready in 45 min . My order was 4 sushi rolls (Puyallup Roll, Trump Roll, Mt Rainier Roll & a Monster Roll). Their app says “ Your order will be available for Curbside in about 45 minutes” and the email sent after ordering says the same thing. The only reason I decided to order from here tonight was the 45 min time that was quoted. My order was placed at 7:22pm and mathematically my order should be ready by 8:07pm. When I got to the store and called at 8:01 the order was not complete yet (no problem because I was early). I asked how much longer because it was supposed to be ready in 45 min and I was coming up on that. They said “Not to much longer maybe 15-20 min. (that’s 60-65 min instead of 44). My meal was finally brought to my car at 8:37pm which is obviously past the 45 min mark (and the 60-65 min that told me on the phone (75 Min actually). This restaurant has no idea how to properly manage their tickets and provide an adequate time to their customers. I highly discourage anyone from ordering here if you have a timeframe you need it because they will not be on time. Sorry Trappers. When you changed to the larger space, your quality of service and food has suffered. I will not be returning to this location. I will drive the extra 20 min to another location because they know how to properly take care of their customers.
