Nice place to just get away and relax in the middle of nowhere. It's really quiet. The rooms were ok. They have cold concrete floors and the outside reminded me of modified shipping containers. The siding is a rusted metal. It had everything you could possibly need to have a long stay inside. It's says dog friendly, but unless your dog's like peeing or pooping on rocks. I would say not very dog friendly. Both our dogs were limping after one day from all the rocks and gravel. Food was really good. It's a bit pricey for lodging and food though.

The place was great. The rooms could use a bigger fridge instead of a wine fridge. The curtains don't cover the windows all the way, so be prepared to get up at sunrise, But the little 1 br house was great. Need to try it in the summer.

The location is pristine, the lodge had cookies that were free, the rooms would be amazing if they were maintained well but as someone in construction i noticed the neglect. Many people would honestly probably just see it as the most beautifull place they have ever stayed. Everything offered at the on site restraunt, front desk and spa seemed very high priced. Honestly if i was in a different profession i would have rated it higher.
The room was missing one curtain, one hinge one of the doors to the patio was broken, one chair arm on one of the patio chairs was broken, one wall in the closet had holes in it and one bracket for the shelf was broken. Painting on wall was crooked, toilet paper holder was crooked even since painting as the paint behind was only matching when crooked. The painter did not tape well before paining as it had many spots where things that should have no paint like a window silly or hinge had paint. The string lights outside were disconnected. Seems like they dont maintain the property well. Also our parking area was wet muddy grass, almost every other unit was gravel, and robes would be a nice addition to the rooms.
Hopefully they will have a contractor come take this to a 4 star resort and then add some nice touches like robes and slippers, year round hot tub, or ice water with some fresh fruit in it in the lobby, or anything to feel your getting more to bring it to 5 star.
But the bartender at the whiskey bar Dylaan was amazing. He was the best staff member we met in our stay. He was knowledgeable, kind, and helpful, but also just fun to talk to. Best part of the stay was chatting with him.

Pool is closed. Doesn't seem to have a Sauna which is weird for a Spa. Room on the cliff or more like cottage is beautiful with a gas fireplace. Views are epic! They seem short staffed with no one answering front desk phone over several days. Finally reached someone at 5pm the day before our check in

A Nightmare Stay at Sage Cliff Resort
I am writing this review to express my extreme disappointment with my recent stay at Sage Cliff Resort. The entire experience was a series of unfortunate events, primarily due to the appalling behavior of the staff.
The resort's lack of basic amenities was shocking. There were no pathway lights, making nighttime navigation a perilous task. The staff, instead of offering assistance, simply refused to provide a microwave, forcing us to trek to the front desk in the middle of the night to warm up milk for our child. This level of indifference is unacceptable.
The room itself was a disgrace. It was filthy, with a worn-out mattress and a non-functional shower. The overall condition of the room was far below any reasonable standard, even for a budget hotel.
It is clear that Sage Cliff Resort prioritizes neither the comfort nor the safety of its guests. I strongly advise anyone considering this resort to reconsider.
Safety: Worst resort ever. Camping outside in your car would be a better experience.

Great place to relax and walk among the grape vines. The "cliffhouses" are cozy with amazing views and easy access to resort amenities. Plenty of EV charging (if you drive a Tesla). Parking is close to where your room is. We came in the off season and there were still edible grapes on the vines, both the ones you can walk through as well as the ones that grow over the pergolas of the cliffhouses. There is a trail nearby that is a good medium intensity activity with folks hiking and mountain biking. Overall we had a relaxing time, enjoyed the views and the food, and recommend this resort, especially in the off season when the concerts end. Oh, and one more thing, the local plants are very fragrant, giving the air a spa-like scent!

A Disastrous Weekend at Sage Cliff Resort and Spa
We booked our stay at Sage Cliff Resort and Spa through Costco, expecting a relaxing weekend getaway. Unfortunately, our experience was far from relaxing.
From the moment we arrived, we were met with a series of disappointments. The lack of basic amenities like microwaves in the rooms was incredibly inconvenient, especially for families with young children. The absence of water heaters for coffee, a standard feature in most hotels, was equally frustrating.
The resort's design choices were questionable, particularly the large, accessible windows in the bathrooms. The dimly lit pathways without signage made nighttime navigation hazardous.
The staff's indifference and lack of helpfulness further compounded the negative experience. The limited parking options and the closure of many amenities during the winter season severely limited our enjoyment of the stay.
Due to these numerous issues, we were forced to cut our stay short, despite having booked for the entire weekend.
We were disheartened to find that such a highly-rated resort, as per Costco's referral, could provide such a subpar experience. We believe that Costco's reputation for quality and customer satisfaction is compromised by such referrals.
We hope that the resort will take steps to address these issues and improve the overall guest experience.
Safety: Not safe for small kids.

STUNNING place to unwind, relax and explore. We felt so secluded and it was so private. I loved every little bit of this property. There is a beautiful hike, a stunning pool that was heated and the wine was flowing. Cave B tasting room is a short walk away. The spa was lovely. I adored it.

You are paying for the location when you stay here. The yurt was dirty, smelled, and was furnished with broken furniture. It smelled of sewage on the deck. It is almost laughable considering how much we payed to stay considering the accommodations. Staff seemed over worked and exhausted. The restaurant was the worst run establishment I have been to in years. It is apparent that sage cliff resort does not value their employees, they seemed miserable. I will end this review on the only other positive about this place besides the location. I had a wonderful massage at the spa.

We stayed in a “Yurt” for a night when we attended a concert at the Gorge. You can beat the location, it shares a fence with the venue and there’s a private entrance for Sagecliff guests. The service when we walked in a so weak. The front desk employees were off putting. We had to ask where our yurt was in the property. Then we had to ask if there was a shuttle or any transportation to the yurt. When the cart arrived to take us, he didn’t offer to load our bags. Disappointing experience with the staff. The restaurant also was not good

About 6 months prior I contacted Sagecliffe Resort and Spa about a wine harvest event. In doing so I started planning my honeymoon. The ownership of the Resort and nearby Winery has changed, and that specific event evolved separately. But the only thing that mattered to us was the experience.
We're not luxury people, this was definitely a 5 star experience at a reasonable price point.
The Cliffehouse (#8) was beautiful. With Amazing views of 'nature'.
It's 2 hours from anywhere, but a good home base.
Sagecliffe spa in room couples massage was 10/10.
Safety: The stairways to areas of the property are low-lit or absolutely dark. At one point we had to use phone flashlights to navigate. We were told management wants residents to be able to see the stars.
Walkability: The property is cliff side. It has rather steep incline/decline drives.

Got a last minute call about no plumbing in our reserved room. Their first proposal was to move us to a Yurt. Never got a confirmation email, so had to call them (turns out it wasn't toll free from Canada, so charged my phone bill) and got mixed replies the three times we were in contact with them.
Because of the ambiguity and poor management, decided to cancel and rearrange our travel plans for the long awaited birthday weekend. Very disappointed in the whole experience.

We ate at Tendril’s for brunch and it was incredibly delicious. Sarah L. was our server and she was so sweet and attentive. The day was lovely and the view amazing!

I wish I could say I loved this place, but I just can’t. We had a bad taste as soon as we walked in and the front desk acted like we were bothering them. Our room wasn’t ready (no big deal) but we were never called like they said they would to tell us when it was. Finally got to our room and man does it need a remodel. The baseboards and door frames in the bathroom were literally rotting away! The rooms furniture was terribly uncomfortable. Our dinning experiences were terrible every time and since there are no other restaurants we were stuck eating there. One morning for breakfast my eggs Benedict came out when a hair on it. The waitress apologized and said they would make a new one. 5 mins later they brought out a “new” plate that was clearly the same plate without the hair. Everything was ice cold!! We did have massages at the spa and those were fabulous!! Only plus of our whole weekend.
Favorite resorts to relax, eat, decompress and lay pool side. Best hikes.
