We hiked down off Mount Saint Helens a little later than expected, and we knew we wouldn't get to our hotel's restaurant before it closed. Then we stumbled into Randle and found The Bistro. It was *perfect.* We wound up sharing a couple of small plates, then split a burger. The food was amazing, and the prices were very reasonable. The staff was incredibly friendly. So glad we found it! I only regret that we couldn't come back to try more of the menu before we left the area.
I could not recommend this place more! A lovely ambiance (with everything handmade by one of the owners), fresh, delicious food (the salad with chicken was perfectly dressed) and housemate soda with individualized level of sweetness (the cinnamon cola is to die for)- everything was wonderful! We will be coming back again!
I work here so this may seem biased; however, having shift meals after I get off I get to try the food and see how it is. The spiced burger is absolutely one of my favorites and the candied bacon on it is delicious, the corn dogs are good but not particularly to my taste but they’re a big hit otherwise! I love the cilantro aioli that comes with the corn dogs as well. The pork (was tender loin but is now loin chop and I’ve had both) is also very good. It’s actually great to have something out here that isn’t just burgers. As staff we all try our best to accommodate to the needs and wants of customers and it seems we’re doing great on that! I love seeing new people come in to try and then leave absolutely loving the place. We’re “fancy” in a way but there’s no need to dress a specific way, we welcome everyone as they are as we’re happy to serve anyone we can! I hope any return customers and new ones to come enjoy every moment they can!
This was an unexpected find on our way through the Cascades. It’s clean, newly renovated and the food was amazing. Each unique dish was prepared with care. The staff were super friendly. Drew told us about how he built the tables. The house made tabouleh, salt cod and potatoes, salmon entree and spiced burger were excellent. The chocolate mousse was awesome. Yum.
We are so happy to find such a wonderful place to end our long anniversary weekend. I had the salmon my husband had the pork and it was all perfect. I am gluten free ( not by choice ) they are very accommodating and helpful. It's the little things that make a favorite place that you would go out of your way for and this is one of those places. We will be back. Thanks
The only mistake we made was splitting dinner. We fought over every last bite. Next time we will get our own plates ? Everything was delicious from the tapenade to the burger to the baklava (with rose water!!). The staff was delightful. The space is beautiful. We will be back soon!
Had the spiced burger different to say the least. Very cumin forward but the candy bacon was good. Potatoes boarder on the burnt side. Service was amazing and hand made sodas were great
I highly recommend checking out The Bistro in Randle for date night and any time you're in the mood for Mediterranean cuisine. It's the only place I've ever had a gourmet corndog from and it was surreal how good it was.
Stopped here on our way back to Seattle and got a city-worthy meal for 2 (hummus, falafel, bass) for $41. Staff seemed happy to help us navigate our dietary restrictions. Swanky feeling interior, would be a good date spot, but we were also welcomed in our hiking clothes. Single occupant bathrooms available.
Great place, just starting up and super friendly. Everything was freshly made, the Mediterranean platter was excellent with really good tabuble salad and hummus, as was the burger (pictured), and a great baklava, again clearly made in house. Recommend on all accounts.

Hi. Just a quick response to 737beverlyp. I am one of the owners of The Bistro in Randle, along with my husband and daughter, who are the chefs. All of the food at our restaurant is made in house, from scratch. That includes our meatballs, bagels, pastries, soups, breads, and spreads. We even make our own jam. Coconut buns and cinnamon rolls are made to order. I invite you to actually come in and try our food. My daughter has worked in nearly all aspects of restaurant service and is very serious about serving great food. Our dining room will be open for seating starting Thursday, June 3rd, still with the takeout menu. In July we open for dinner, including the lounge area. Thanks, Penny Ward Marcus
This place no longer exists. The building has been turned into a Bistro with food that you can buy at costco yourself. Prices are HIGH... Food is all costco food.... They have ruined a iconic place for something that does not even mesh with the area........
We recently moved to the area. I love going to breakfast on the weekends. When we found this amzing little cafe I was so excited some place close to eat . it was better then I had ever expected. So clean. The server was very busy but very good. And the food is a home run. Hashbrown were out of this world. My new favorite place to eat in the area.
comfortable atmosphere, interesting people
Best place I've found to eat if your down between North of Adams and South of Rainier. Not that you have a lot of options out there in the back of beyond. But it's far cleaner than the options across the street.
