Fantastic specialty coffee shop on the East Side! Their single origin pourover and espresso are especially delicious. Staff are super nice - even helped me with dialing in some of the beans I bought from them.

Granted it's late in the day but the banana bread was a bit old and the macchiato was ok. Not bad but not outstanding either. I'll go back and try their specialty drinks next time.

I stopped in waiting for an appt. It was a Saturday and it was crowded. There was about 12+ people waiting for their drinks and food. Something must have been wrong because no one was getting their drinks for at least 10 minutes. I finally had to leave due to time, but the gal who took my order was very kind and pushed me up in the line to make sure I didn't leave empty handed. I would guess/hope this was a one off experience because the coffee was good and I'd like to go back.

4.5 Stars. I have a high bar for cafe reviews - so on the positive side, I liked the food, atmosphere, and service today. Latte art was good, which is not always the case in the Seattle area. This is Redmond, so perhaps that explains the higher quality. There was a lot of movement and chatter behind the counter, but it was in good spirits (the employees seem to be friends). Lots of seating and tables for doing work or studying. Clean environment.
I also was greatly heartened to see an American flag on the wall. This lifted my spirits greatly and made me feel at home. In Seattle city, in cafes and many restaurants, one sees flags of various rainbow hues and chromatic divisions. Although rainbow flags in the zeitgeist of our time purport to represent "inclusion", I contend (with all due respect), that rainbow flag actually point out our divisions. I like rainbows in the sky caused by moisture and sunlight. Atmospheric rainbows are wonderful. Pots of gold are often at the end of them. But flags ... flags are symbolic and the only symbol I want to see on a daily basis here in America is the American flag and the flag of the state of which I am in. The American flag is the only true flag of unity and inclusion. "And for the republic for which it stands ... liberty and justice for all...." that's the pledge of allegiance I grew up with in 1984... no rainbows ... no divisions ... unity under red and white stripes and crystal stars on field of brilliant blue. I don't even own an American flag. I have no clothes with flag patterns on them. It's just good to see it raised proudly in an establishment.

I’m not sure, but I think 5 Stones Coffee 1st opened in about 2016(?). They should be commended for their commitment to great coffee, a wonderful cozy place, and very friendly staff! Yes, they get busy for good reason! The coffee is the best on the Eastside, and the homemade pastries are absolutely wonderful! They do sell out quickly cause they are to die for!
No one ever said that 5 Stones was the largest place, but that’s ok, if you go often your name will be remembered with a smile.
Maybe a little improvement could be made on whose order is whose, but it’ll happen:).
Just enjoy the great quality coffee, pastries and people! Thank you 5 Stones for what you bring to the community!
Kid-friendliness: Kids love the pastries and fun atmosphere! Fun to sit out front in the summer and fall.

A group of us rode our motorcycles here and ordered coffee drinks and pastries. We couldn't find street parking, so we parked our bikes on the rather wide sidewalk. The bikes were all tucked away neatly against the wall and they were not a nuisance to anyone. There were a few customers sitting outside and no one complained. We were very respectful and rode as quietly as we could. We would have preferred to have found street parking, but that was not the case.
One employee of this coffee shop took it upon himself to remind us that the sidewalk was not a parking spot. This is after all 7 of us had ordered and we were sitting outside and trying to enjoy ourselves. There was no need to act in such a brusque.
The coffee drinks and food were good. The experience was marred by one individual getting salty with a group of people who just dropped a bunch of money at the establishment he works for. Leave the parking enforcement to Redmond Police. I doubt any Redmond police officers would have had an issue with the situation.
In any case, I'll probably give this place another try. A little customer service and kindness can go a long way.

Wow what a fantastic coffee shop. The chai was seriously one of e of the best I’ve ever had. Spicy, sweet, and frothy. So good!
Great coffee shop. They always have interesting drinks, different than other places, the Wi-Fi works great, and the food is really good too. Not a huge interior space, but multiple tables and chairs if you're looking to work.
