I love Joys! Best Chinese food in Washington, much less in Redmond. Food is really fresh and authentic, nothing swimming in oil or cheap sauces. Prices are great. Warning - at least two people can share each dish. I am a big eater and normally would never split a fish, but these are truly for more than one person.
This place was recommended to be by a coworker originally from Beijing. She said it was the most authenticate Chinese she has had since she left home. I don’t know about authenticity but it was amazing. It’s the best Chinese my wife and I have had in ages. Fresh, flavorful and very very good. Since it was our first time, I ordered one of the chef specials rather than go for one of the typical Americanized dishes made for of palettes. Very glad I did! I toggled between 3 and 4 stars and landed on 4. Came here with a couple of friends and found the food to be pretty good. I didn't see anything on the menu that was very unique and didn't get a sense of what their specialty is. I would come back if I'm in the neighborhood, but probably wouldn't seek it out.
