Family Pancake House Redmond

A girlfriend and I met for breakfast at a different port orchard location. Despite the sign on the door displaying their hours as being open, the lights were on, the place was empty, and the doors were still locked. We left and decided to take a chance going to the family pancake house just up the street. Though it seemed early to me on a Saturday morning (9:15 am) the place was buzzing, there were bright eyes, smiling faces, and tables filling with people of all ages from small children to seniors. There was no wait, as the seating is plenty. Our server was a familiar, friendly face and we felt welcome to be there. The menu had many delicious options and was accommodating to my dietary restrictions. Everything about this place made me love Port Orchard that much more. And instead of leaving a poor review for the other restaurant, I felt compelled to leave a raving one here instead!

The food was fresh and cooked to perfection! My wife had the potato pancakes and the had an amazing flavor. I had the chicken fried steak with hashbrowns and a single pancake. I had grilled onions and cheese on the hashbrowns. Everything was yummy. I'm glad we found this place on our road trip.

The resteraunt staff was friendly and kind, however the manager completely makes that moot. I ordered a dish and it came out tasting like a bad frozen dinner. I sent it back and didn't want to order anything else. The manager comes with the food 5 minutes later asking what's wrong specifically, almost hassingly. I told him I just didn't like it and it was fine. He then only discounted the meal $10 out of almost $21! What a rip off, and I will never return to this establishment.

Update: this time i got the very nut and berry pancake. Had the same but on a waffle so good. Service is always great and on point.

FPH is a staple for our family. We visit at least twice a month, and have loved every single visit. The service is always good, the food is amazing. On our most recent visit, our server was Crystal. She hustles in a way that seasoned servers do. She was on top of refills, checked on us without feeling overbearing and made sure that we enjoyed our time. Crystal is amazing and we cannot wait to sit in her section again in the future. What a rockstar!

While the food is good, pulling out a dirty vacuum hose and vacuuming while customers are eating is unacceptable. Do better Pancake House.
