The princess Torte tastes terrible! Maybe other cakes are good but not sure if i will come back after this experience. Disappointing
If you like Marzipan, then you need to go to Hoffmans.

I am pretty shocked. First time here, tried a slice of cake and didnt like the flavor, the cake tasted stale as well. Asked to replace it and the girl told me that its not possible. First time EVER that I heard of such a thing. And those cakes are not cheap! Will never come here again!

We were surprised to learn that in addition to amazing cakes and pastries that they are known for, they also serve sandwiches and salads, as well as soup and some breakfast foods.
When we went, we were in a hurry and they were able to make our sandwich sandwiches very quickly
We ordered the turkey cranberry and two Reuben’s. It was basically meat on a bread that is not typical for ribbons. We did ask for no cheese. They were all very good though
In the past, I have bought a slice of princess cake which my sister thinks is the best cake she’s ever had.

Espresso based coffee was meh. Dark roast, Peet's style but somehow manages to taste even cheaper. Would be happy to visit again, please replace your roaster!

Been coming here regularly for the past few months. Good breakfast menu. The taste is consistent. The coffee is really good as well :)

Good selection of pastries and cakes but expensive! Didn't personally like the fruit tart.
First time here, staff was very kind and friendly. No wait in line.
Had the cake of the month which is raspberry lemonade cake. Good cake, moist with just right sweetness, not too sweet, nice balance of flavors and textures, moist cake. 4 stars for the cake
Now for me I was not a fan of the cookies. I got the chocolate chip and a lemon crinkle. I like gooey and chewy cookies with crisp outside. These cookies were not what I was looking for. 2 stars for the cookies. These cookies were dry and crispy throughout.
So just depends what kind of cookie fan you are.
They have free street parking if you can find anyone and paid parking garage, they will validate your parking for the garage so that is wonderful.

Disappointed with the special $85 cake I bought for my bf’s birthday. Ordered the Princess Torte believing it had raspberry jam as one of the layers. Barely taste the raspberry! Here’s the first 2 slices, 2 sizes. Wish I knew the raspberry wasn’t really a noticeable part, would’ve chosen differently. The cake itself did taste good!

I just left the bakery with a cinnamon roll and a piece of princess torta cake for my husband‘s birthday and while I was there, I thought I would get an Americano sadly to say the woman making the Americano was one of the rudest people I have met I’m disappointed That a bakery with such amazing food can’t simply say thank you.
Good food. We had cookies and cakes multiple times here. However recent experience when I went with kids for a bday cake pickup was awful. Can’t count on them for bday pickups. Got turned away when I was waiting in line with kids. I rarely see a business that says their business is closed when you turn is up at the line. I entered their store when their door was open and the sign said open, and waited in line behind another party. When the clock rang 7, they told the party before me that they are now closed and can’t take orders. The way they said it also was a bit rude. If that was the case, consider closing the doors early and switch the sign to closed at 6:45pm or sooner? Would like to see this business thrive, but I can’t rate better due to bad experience.
Food is decent for sure, but the folks at the counter are hit and miss -- Some are totally great, but at least one cashier today was weirdly vocal about Republican values and terse with my family and I before we even got to the counter.
Can't help but feel like they clocked me as a trans person and wanted to make it clear that while I'm welcome to buy a coffee and sandwich from them, they don't want me to be comfortable or think that I'm safe in their vicinity.
Fella who made the coffee was chill though, as was the person who brought our food out.
Sat outside, vibes were better. Not sure I'll be back at the same time/day.
I got the 10” coconut cake for my husbands 50th birthday. The cake looked great but ended up being kind of wet and soggy on the inside- and while I was serving the 4th or 5th piece the entire cake slid right off the cake board and splattered all over the ground. SO disappointing.
