I don't know where the negative reviews came from, but I had very pleasant experiences for my couple of visits. Brought my mom in today, both of us loved the food we ordered. The ingredients were fresh, the soup was rich, and the portion was more than enough for us. The flavors were very close to Cantonese and Guangdong taste. Would definitely recommend.

Husband is allergic to shrimp. Asked for no shrimp in dish. Half way through eating dish. He discovers a shrimp. Let's just say, it was not a very good night for him.....

I think this is something every foody has to try at least once. It does stand out compared to the rest of the asian cuisine.

I love Hainanese chicken rice. So we ordered one here. It's on the pricey side ($20) which is fine if the portion is good. Unfortunately the portion is so small I am still hungry after finished the whole thing.. The chicken is 70% bones. It's like they are giving you leftover chicken from another dish or something. For $20 that's ridiculous. Service is ok but slow, the restaurant itself is nice and clean. But because we get way less than what we paid for... We will likely not come back....

Lake Hills has a great little plaza with a wide variety of Asiatic foods.

Malay Satay hut has some delicious food.

This is my all time favorite restaurant, it makes my mouth water just thinking about this place, if you don’t like it, you’re getting the wrong thing. Their fried rice is to die for, and the dry curry beef just completely melts in your mouth, not to mention the skewers, everyone is always nice and sometimes if it’s busy we have to wait, but I don’t care because I’m glad they are busy and I’m just excited to be there. Do a favor and treat yourself to this place.

Slow slow slow… ordered a noodle, waited for more than 25 minutes, eventually needed to cancel the meal. Very disappointing.

Their food is great, but they need to pay more to the wait staffs, because they look unhappy, and a bit rude.

Malay Satay Hut used to be the best Malaysian restaurant in greater Seattle before they moved to this Bellevue location. I think the cooks or ownership changed and that's no longer true.

Portions are smaller with less meat, flavor profile and technique has changed. The beef rendang is still worth it, but the other dishes were sparse.

Additionally, the wait staff was rude this time since we used the restroom before paying and they wanted to move onto the next customer.

We recently dined at the new location for the first time and were quite disappointed. While we've enjoyed their food previously, this visit's service was slow, and the flavors were not as expected. The Hainanese chicken, in particular, missed its distinct Malay flavor, tasting more like a standard chicken dish. The Coconut Shrimp Fried Rice surprisingly lacked any coconut taste. Regrettably, this experience does not encourage a future visit.
