The food is very good, but they can improve the availability of their gluten-free bagels.

This is my second time here, and the staff is so unfriendly that I almost left. But I wanted to try their bagels. You should make sure the staff is friendly because it ruins the experience, especially in the morning when no one wants to start their day with a grumpy face.
I liked this place and I’ll be back. Friendly staff, good service, my bagel sandwich was tasty enough. The atmosphere was off putting - very big, quiet, and echoing. My friends and I felt weird sitting down and talking at a normal volume. We realized we were running late and the person at the counter was really nice about switching our orders to takeout after we had ordered.

What a great place. Huge selection of bagels or breakfast sandwiches, coffee, and juices. Eat in or to go. Staff are great, friendly and fast. Great place if you want to meet someone for coffee.

This has been a mixed bag for me:
1. The garlic and shallot toppings are not traditional and that would be fine if they were good and improved the experience. Unfortunately , a soggy mush on top of the bagel is not appétissant in the least. It also limits the options for the other fillings one might want to put on their bagel. I'm not sure if these area crowd pleaser and I'm the odd one that dislikes them. There rest of the bagels are delightful on their own, or w a variety of fillings..
The shop is super clean, the service excellent, the coffee varies, from meh to excellent.
2. Prices are higheven before fillings are added even for Redmond area.
3. Worth visiting for a sit down breakfast

I wish I could give them more stars. Very expensive and the service takes way too long. They messed up my lunch order twice and it was not even busy. My daughter got sick from her lunch sandwich. Had such high hopes for them.

i was thrilled to try out this place for the first time! i was especially excited to get a breakfast bagel. i ordered the bacon, egg, and cheese on a plain bagel to-go. when they finished my bagel, i didn’t check my order to make sure it was correct especially because it was labeled with my name. unfortunately, when i got home, i opened the wrapping to see that i was given an everything bagel with egg, cheese, and sausage instead. everything was slightly off. it wasn’t what i had ordered. it isn’t a big deal but it was also 14$ for a single sandwich. overall, i’d say probably order and eat there to ensure you receive the correct meal!

Best bagels we’ve found in WA state. The traditional types that you would judge any NY bagel shop on (plain, sesame, salt, everything) are fantastic. Always fresh and delicious. They might be a little more expensive than some other places, but let’s face it WA is expensive. Highly recommend!

Walked in and saw it’s 14 dollars for some bread and cheese. I’m but a peasant and this was a SHOCK. Update: very nice management. Please support local if you money. 🙃

They've dropped the ball with this place. Unless you wake up early, they are almost always out of the most common bagels (the ones people actually like). I hadn't gone back in a while because of this, but today I had a craving so decided to give it another shot. It should've been no surprise, but they only had one option and it was Funfetti... No thanks!!
Wish this place could get back on track. Sad to see a restaurant decline like this.

Worker that attended me was rude and passive aggressive, as we walked in the worker looked like they judged how we presented ourselves
Bagels are amazing. I also love their bagel version of avocado toast. I have had their coffee twice and both times it tasted watery and for $6, I expected more.

The location is great, just a quick walk from the new light rail station and right next to the Downtown Redmond park. It’s pricey, but my husband and I compared the prices to the same sandwich order at the other bagel place…. Only $3 difference total :) plus, Rubenstein’s actually has plenty of room to sit down and eat, which is a bonus. The staff was extremely friendly, and the whole place felt clean. The bagels were gooood (and I’ve been to New York a few times recently, so I feel confident comparing). I would not call them New York style though, but it is good in their own right.
The ingredients felt super fresh and so did my bagel - definitely more on the moist and chewy side, but not hard at all. We will be back!!

I gave them a try despite the reviews on the bagels. These are definitely not NY bagels. That wouldn’t be a problem, but the cinnamon raisin and chocolate and cherry were shriveled and small as if they didn’t proof and the outsides were so hard, I had to saw through with a knife. They were inedible. Slightly better, the jalapeño cheddar too could be bitten through, but the bottom could not. The everything bagel could be eaten but it was dry and crumbly inside. I was there at 8am so these were supposedly fresh.
