Terrible service here. They automatically add a 22% tip so the service staff act like you don’t exist and are incredibly rude! They know they will get a good tip no matter how they act and take advantage of this.We walked in and stood around for a couple of minutes before the hostess asked if we needed a table. We said yes and the hostess said “okay” then turned around and talked with the other hostess for the next five minutes. When they were done with their talk, they finally lead us over to our table. We sat at the table for 15 minutes without any service until finally we got some water. After another 20 minutes our server finally came and asked for our order and asked us to hurry up because they closed in two hours. After about an hour of being there they finally got us our food and then left us alone for the rest of the night. I had to get up twice to find someone so we could get water and again to pay the bill.I would understand if they were busy but we were one of four other tables and there were more employees than customers! The cherry on top was our server asking us for a tip. When I mentioned he is already getting a 22% tip he had the audacity to tell me tipping was a standard practice. I would have considered a tip if we had service and if our server wasn’t pacing around mumbling “I can’t wait to get out of here and away from these people” along with other unneeded phrases as he passed by.If I owned this place I would be ashamed to have my workers treat people like this. If it wasn’t for the terrible and rude servers and the bland food, I would have liked to come back here due to its good atmosphere. Unfortunately it seems they are know for people not returning.

They charge a 22% "service fee" that does not go to the server, but instead the restaurant keeps it (according to the waitstaff). So if you want to tip your server on top of the mandatory service fee, expect to add 40% to your bill. This shouldn't be legal. Will not be returning.

We go to Tavolata in Redmond often (We also love Tavolata in Belletown). The food and drinks are excellent. The staff are very friendly. The atmosphere is very nice. My favorite is being served at the leather sofas after a long day of work or skiing!

Adding a service fee of 22% seems like a sneaky way to get more money. Waiters should let the customers know in advance so that they can walk out if they don’t wish to pay that ridiculous fee.

Waitress was very helpful in describing things. The atmosphere inside is awesome and they have an open kitchen where you see them making the food which I think is a cool touch! The food was fantastic and reasonably priced for what you get! Definitely coming back for another date night!

I’m really glad to see that Tavolata has come to Redmond. The atmosphere inside here is really nice and spacious. You can sit at the bar, the table, or the lounge. As many reviewers have noted, it’s probably best to come during happy hour (4pm-6pm). If you come on a Monday or Tuesday during HH, there’s a deal where you get two pastas and a bottle of wine for $45. I had the rigatoni, paparadelle, and spaghetti. I liked the paparadelle the best, the other dishes were on the saltier side. The HH drinks were great especially the “Gimme Mary More. Service was excellent, but keep in mind there is a mandatory service charge of 22%. There is a parking garage underneath the restaurant, but it is limited. You can also park on the street as well.

We adore Tavolata’s happy hour. One of the best I’ve come across in terms of value. Big portions for pasta dishes and fresh ingredients. We try our best to beat the rush as it does get quite busy.

We've come for several happy hours as well as dinner. Food is great! Highly recommend the octopus app and beet salad. The espresso martini is kickass. We've tried a few of the pastas and have liked every single one, and portions are generous, which is great for the price point. They also have a gluten free pasta substitute which is really good! Usually not impressed by gf subs, but this one is legit. They only have one pasta shape that's gluten free, but it's been delicious with every sauce we've tried it with. The last time we visited, their service was superb, and they take the food allergies really seriously as well. The only thing is that the music is a bit loud and kinda ruins the atmosphere.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free pasta!Parking: Street parking with two hour limit.

Hi I was the gentleman who lost my wallet Feb 24th picking up for someone. A staff member picked it up and kept it safe. Everyone was very nice and helped me get it back. Great place to pick up delivery items from and very respectful environment.

Their happy hour specifically is great--good quality pasta, al dente w a variety of options, and full portioned for almost half the normal price. Excited to have another good HH option on the Eastside

Good food but portions have gotten smaller and they are now adding a 22% service charge to your whole bill to i clude bottles of wine, cocktails etc. We will not be back ourley on a required 22% tip

Could not be happier to have Tavolata in Redmond after visiting for years in seattle. The bruschetta is always a must-order. And the pastas are full of flavor and so fresh. Don’t sleep on the zeppole for dessert!! And the Ethan stowell exclusive wines are always delicious. We love sitting in the bar if we didn’t make a reservation!

Needs improvement!Great location (don't F up the potential for a home run foodie destination!). Speaking of the food, it is surprisingly the weak link. The pasta portions are too big AND the quality is meh - think Olive Garden :( Should/must be a lot better! Tried a Denver Steak last time we were there and it was embarrassingly mediocre. C'mon guys! The service is strong. Staff is nice and attentive, but they seem to be understaffed, for what is often a busy location. Lastly, the atmosphere and location are top notch - they cannot let it go to waste. They must step up their game!
