I had a great experience in the restaurant itself, the only thing that will stop me from going back in the future is this is the only restaurant in that entire building (including the fast food shops) that doesn't validate parking, so it's an extra 10 bucks every time on top of the restaurant bill and tip itself.

Review based on one weekend brunch.
Have been wanting to try this place for several years actually and finally dropped in for brunch. I did like my poached eggs. The avocado was a great match. Would have liked a little more crispness to the potatoes.
It was not particularly crowded when I went in so there was no wait but there was a constant flow customers. I would go back again.

The food is great, the whiskey choices are impressive, its easy to get into, and there's readily available parking. Evidently I can't post without adding a photo, so if you ride gravel, this is a decent tire guide.

Was completely unimpressed. Only place in building that does not offer parking validation. There was no printed menus available. Every entree was incomplete without an expensive side option....for example if you wanted an egg with your french toast it was +$4, or you wanted a single fried chicken thigh with your biscuits and gravy it was +$11! Yes $11 for one chicken thigh. My coffee was served cold and refilled cold. My wife's french toast was purely dense egg, and tasted as if it were made the day before. My chicken wings had no flavor (zero salt) with a mango habanero chutney that just did not make sense flavor profile-wise. Then I paid the bill. I used my AMEX. The bill had an added 2.5% surcharge for the card.
I remember the original restaurant from 2015....the interior has not changed and is dated, same tables, bar, setup. Very recycled interior.
All in all, awful experience, I will not return. Expensive for no reason.

Server didnt explain the menu when we came in so the Menu was confusing. They have brunch, lunch, happy hour, dinner. And you can only order from the menu at that time but we got there at 3 and there was an error on the times so we were confused on what we could and couldn't order. Server wasn't very familiar with the menu and didnt seem like she was having a good day. But food is amazing!! Best chicken wings Ive ever had and clam chowder was amazing!
Tables are a little close together but other than that its a nice cozy bar vibe. Will be back again!

This place was definitely cute and had a nice aesthetic, which is why my girlfriend and I were excited to check it out. We initially sat at a table but decided we’d rather enjoy a glass of wine at the bar instead. When we moved over, the bartender informed us that two of the seats were reserved for his dad — which is totally fine — but what stood out was the hostess making a smirky comment implying that it should have been obvious those seats were reserved. Unfortunately, it wasn’t obvious at all, and the tone felt unnecessary and unwelcoming.
From that moment on, the overall energy shifted. The crowd just wasn’t our vibe, and the staff didn’t feel as friendly or accommodating as we had expected, especially for a restaurant that has such a reputation for being a nice, popular spot. We actually wanted to order food and make an evening out of it, but the atmosphere at the bar made us feel more like an inconvenience than valued guests.
It’s disappointing because the space itself has so much potential and we genuinely went in with high expectations. While the setting is lovely, the service and attitude left us feeling underwhelmed and unlikely to return.
Delicious food, really cozy vibe, incredible whiskey collection, great happy hour, and SO MANY gluten free options! Oh my goodness this place was great for a delicious lunch.

Woodblock is a great place to eat in the heart of Redmond. The food is great and their happy hour menu is a good deal. They're very innovative with their cocktails and keeping the menu fresh. They also offer special events throughout the year which you can sign-up for via their website.

I’ve really tried to like Woodblock, but every visit leaves me feeling like the staff is annoyed or bothered by customers. Most recently, I walked in and wasn’t greeted at all — just stared at. I let the host know I was alone and wanted to sit at the bar, and she silently gestured in that direction. It was a busy day, and the last open bar seat would’ve been uncomfortable to squeeze into, so I went back to ask if I could sit along the countertop near the kitchen since there were plenty of open seats.
The hostess was so wrapped up in chatting with the kitchen staff that I had to ask loudly multiple times just to get her attention. When I finally asked if sitting at the counter was okay, she seemed annoyed, paused for a long moment, and then reluctantly said yes.
After that, I was completely ignored for about 15 minutes. No menu, no water, no check-in — nothing. I kept looking around, trying to make eye contact with anyone, but the hostess was still chatting with the bartender, and no servers acknowledged me. Eventually someone came over, but by the time my food arrived I had only minutes left on my lunch break and had to rush through half of it.
I’ll give credit where it’s due: the food here is good. But the attitude of the staff and the lack of basic attentiveness really bring down the entire experience. Woodblock has potential, but the service needs serious improvement.

I’ve been to Woodblock a few times now, and every single visit has been consistently great. The moment you walk in, the vibe just feels right — warm, inviting, and a little bit upscale without being pretentious. The staff always greets you with a genuine smile, and you can tell they actually enjoy working there, which really sets the tone for the whole meal.
This time I came with a couple of friends for dinner, and we decided to share a few dishes so we could try more of the menu. Everything we ordered was spot-on. The Brussels sprouts (which I’m normally not a huge fan of) were incredible — crispy, perfectly seasoned, and honestly kind of addictive. The poke starter was super fresh, and the flavors just popped. For mains, I had the Woodblock burger, and wow… easily one of the best burgers I’ve had anywhere. Juicy, flavorful, and the fries were crispy perfection. My friend ordered the seared scallops, and they were cooked perfectly — tender inside with that perfect golden crust.
The drinks were another highlight. Their cocktail menu is so creative, and the bartenders really know their craft. I went with the Old Fashioned (highly recommend it), and my friend tried one of their seasonal cocktails — both were balanced and beautifully made.
Service throughout the night was excellent. Our server was attentive without hovering, checked in at the right times, and gave honest recommendations instead of just pushing the pricey items. That’s something I really appreciate.
We finished with dessert — the chocolate pot de crème — and it was the perfect ending. Rich, smooth, and not overly sweet.
What I love about Woodblock is how consistent everything is — great food, great drinks, great people. It’s rare to find a place that gets all three right every single time. Whether you’re out on a date, celebrating something, or just grabbing a good meal with friends, you really can’t go wrong here.
If you haven’t tried Woodblock yet, do yourself a favor and go. It’s one of those places that makes you want to come back before you’ve even left.

Nice atmosphere but food was average and service poor. There were hardly any drink or water refills...

Honestly one of the best salads I've ever had, but I just wish the portion was larger. I don't usually like salmon, but I'd eat this one over and over! One miss was that they forgot to put the dressing on the salad, but the waitress was able to get some for me from the kitchen!
Nice place. Burger was amazing. Battered cicken was too salty, oily and smelled funny.
